If people by and large agree that what is going now is being handled worse then what purpose does it serve to say "If Kamala won things wouldn't be this bad. They wouldn't have changed at all from before"?. What actual point are you trying to prove? Because it makes no sense to and all it does is present as a false equivalence because we know for a fact that past administrations weren't this wreckless with it despite also at times skirting the law. This isn't about party politics as has been said multiple times. Seeing it without a left or right lens then you would actually see the point you're trying to make is a moot one. It's not actually adding to the discussion. Even the part you bolded in Freeman's post proves that.

The purpose is to draw a contrast between how Trump is doing it today versus how she would more than likely handle it, which would be like her Democrat predecessors: Quietly and with minimal media attention because it's her and not Trump.

Remember the media frenzy over "kids in cages" during Trump's first term? Then remember how quiet it got when it was discovered that the pictures that were used to show kid in cages thanks to Trump's BP and ICE were, in fact, taken from years earlier during the Obama administration??? That's what we'd end up with. If you can't see that this is happening and we're getting so much coverage is because it's Trump then I don't know what to say to you.

We also wouldn't have a sitting governor fanning the flames against ICE like Tim Walz has been doing. He plays just as much of a part in how shit went down in Minnesota as Trump does and, as far as I'm concerned, just as guilty as Trump for those two deaths.

I'm through with this thread tho.

Y'all niggas can pat each other on the back, circle jerk, and gobble each other's balls all you want now.

You know why the sitting govenor wouldn't be fanning the flames? Because again despite what keep trying to insinuate, with Kamala in office along with her predecessors citizens weren't getting killed in the streets, beaten, and told by government officials that they need to carry papers to prove their citizenship or risk being snatched up ice.

To make the comparison you are trying to make what you would actually need to say is that if Kamala were in office handling things in this exact same manner as trump then there wouldn't be as much media coverage becauze she's not trump but you can't say that because you know it'd be a lie.

So instead you trying to take this angle in which things have clearly escalated by all accounts in how ice is operating but you keep trying to say this is getting attention solely because it's trump and not because of the shit ice is doing and how they're operating in tangent with an administration using overt nazi imagery and phrases.

I been peeped game old buddy.

You know what's funny to me?

Me, you and Lonious had this convo around covid. We talked about being a step ahead of the herd mentality and I said when everyone go right, I go left and when everyone go left, I go right. You and Lonious said that's not a bad thing. Only one of yall followed through and the other faked the funk. I shouldn't be surprised but thank you for being real God

"Real eyes realize, real LIES"

You been had them snake eyes😏

I agree some of the media coverage is because it’s Trump. But you can’t deny that Trump provokes a lot of the media coverage too. Most normal presidents don’t react to negative news stories with provable lies, slander, and name-calling. Most presidents take some sort of accountability and at minimum don’t blame victims and at most ignore it. That’s like Biden blaming the Afghans’ deaths during the withdrawal on them jumping on the plane while it was taking off. Or blaming them for not getting there sooner.

And I don’t agree with the Walz comparison unless you believe he’s somehow leading the protestors directly. ICE is directly under Trump’s leadership and when there’s an inflamed situation, governor influenced or not, you change tactics to de-escalate the situation. You have your people be professional, even Homan has said that. That’s what a leader does, adjust to the facts on the ground.

I think there’s a lot of nuance that people miss when making these comparisons, mainly the nuance that Trump’s whole attitude to everything brings.

I’m sure you’re against the Pretti killing and Trump’s response given he was killed because he was exercising his 2A rights.
