2026: Back to the randomness

Is that part of the deal ya'll are making?
Yes the deal was to eliminate the 100% tariff on Chinese ev's and allow a slow drip of said ev's into the Canadian market over years, in exchange china dropped its tarrifs on canola oil and other Canadian products. (China is the top buyer of Canadian canola oil)

I think its 50k evs to start then then next allotment is 100-150k and so on.

Trump is an idiot. I pray he dies in his sleep nightly.

That's good for ya'll. I heard those Chinese EVs are better than anything we have and cost way less. That kinda shows that Trump isn't the only reason America is on the decline. We could have been leading in newer technology like EVs for a while now, but our politicians always sell us out to special interest groups like the Big Oil.

Yeah I went down the rabbit hole. A luxury sedan is like $35k. A super high end rolls royce/ Ferrari type ev is like $80k. And its not no temu shit, its high end materials and construction. We've been getting robbed for quite some time.

He removed and reverted most if not all of those clean energy laws and incentives

"Robbed" is the right word.

It's kinda crazy when you look at the history of EVs. The first EV was made way back in the 1800s, and by the early 1900s, they made up around a third of all vehicles on the road competing with gas and steam vehicles. There was actually a time when they were being pushed as the primary vehicles, and then a bunch of oil was found in Texas, the big oil companies rose up, and that was that. It's kinda crazy to think that EVs were that prominent way back then before electricity was even standard in every household.

Don't remind. My car was totaled in an accident recently. I had to buy a new one last Saturday. I got a Mach E. Dealer told me it would have been ~7K cheaper if that Federal EV credit didn't get clapped.

Damn I didn't even know that.

Yeah, the history is crazy.

The other thing that hurt electric cars is the Ford Model T. When that dropped, people could basically get a gas car for ~$600 while electric cars were ~$1100. It feels ridiculous even typing those prices. lol Cars have come a long way though since then.

Sometimes I want my young flagrant and free self back with all the resources of my mature thoughtful and wise self.

Like, I’d like to change my last name to Brick, go out and have a pretty baby wit a nice woman. And name the child Always.

Young always brick
