Still no reason to be against Medicare for all as the post suggests (not saying you’re against it). Clean up the system and give people this benefit.

People so far up Trump and republican’s asses they’ll go against their own self interests (again, not saying you). Not like people aren’t paying taxes already that could fund universal healthcare, especially if we find the fraud and reduce spending in other areas like defense.

I'm not against that, but it would have to be limited to those that are here the right way.

The lie we have been told for years was that illegal immigrants were not receiving government assistance and never have because they're "not eligible". Yet when we first moved to Phoenix we had to get on SNAP 'cause the job I was supposed to start had vanished. We literally stood for hours in a line that went outside the building and down the block just to apply for SNAP. Something like 95% of the people in line were Mexicans, the overwhelming majority didn't speak English and were here illegally. We were told they were using stolen identities to get benefits and the people working at the DES completely knew about it; it was basically an open secret.

People rebut with “they’re not eligible” because Trump was saying he wouldn’t extend ACA subsidies because it allowed illegals to get it, which it didn’t.

And seeing as the largest number of people on welfare are white, the fraud by illegals is still a very small portion of overall spend.

I agree with you though, fraud should be enforced against and not allowed.
