How many "people of color" arrived in this country and graduated to whiteness after turning against Black Americans? Its almost a model at this point. I'm wondering if this is all just a trap for Black people. They know how sensitive we are about civil rights, we just can't help but get involved. Though usually getting involved means more just cause for white people to legalize Black hate. Then when white people are losing, they graduate some immigrant group to "white" status and Black people are alone in the fight wondering where all the allies went.

Irish and Italians. Outside of them nobody else is new white.

What too many people in here don't realize..........or refuse to acknowledge..........is that it's the immigrants who are aligned with white supremacy.

Not us.

And it's almost understandable since they've benefited from it up until now.


The only reason they want to unite and come together now is because it's not working for them anymore.

I do agree some immigrant communities are definitely have their FAFO moment, but until white people seriously deal with their racist ideologies on both the liberal and conservative sides we will continue to see this cycle.

And that's why ppl saying there should be accountability should stop expecting it. The way ice is operating has been standard protocol since its inception regardless of who's in office. Dems will exploit that woman's death for brownie points, nothing more.

I’m not condoning any bullshit that happened under Obama, but many of those deaths were from substandard healthcare in the detention center. Some of that from overcrowding, some from facilities ran by contractors, etc. And Obama pushed policy to make it better.

Now how is that the same as immigrants and US citizens getting shot in the street and reportedly getting strangled to death while in detention?

Most of these immigrants have Family Members who voted for Trump at way higher numbers than Black People. They are in this predicament cause of how people who look like them voted. Those are the facts

ICE under Obama administration is known for not being transparent. There were shooting incidents and lethal force incidents under Obama, no agent indictments. Everything was handled internally. Detention center conditions were often given passing ratings even after severe violations were identified.

The policies where agents can shoot at moving vehicles or in public spaces if "they believe their life was in danger" is the same today as it's always been.

Under Obama the border patrol agents were doing the killing, bc there were more border crossings but crossings have obviously gone way down today so there are more ICE operations.

Nope, I’m not cool with White Supremacy, but some of these people need a real lesson on how white supremacy works in the United States . Some thought they would go unscathed but they finding out the hard way .

They want the status but very few will be given. You still have to look white. Just cuz they act close to it does not mean acceptance
