ICE Protest/Riot Thread

But let's say I agree with you... Why aren't you directing your energy to white people who have created this system in the first place?

I got a bunch of posts over the years about that on here.

My gripe is they shouldn't look for black people as allies now when the gun pointed at them now. They gotta hold their own nuts now.
How long do they have to do this in your eyes before it's ok to seek help from black Americans?

Weren't many of these same immigrants championing Trump during the election because they supported white supremacy? Those few powerful white men stay running the world because anytime Black people stand up against them, its immigrants that are used against us.
Yes they did, and I feel no sympathy for people that voted for Trump and are now being effected.

However, there’s a difference between a desire to deport immigrants and turning a blind eye to these white supremacy tactics.

Are we opposed to white supremacy in all of its forms or not?

Their own people put them in this predicament, black people can't do nothing for them nor should we. They have to save themselves, we'll see if they learned their lesson during the elections.
I’m not saying we should be out on the front lines. I’ve actually explicitly said in here we shouldn’t. But people here are actually running cover for what’s happening like it’s ok and it’s not.

And immigrants are not a bigger threat to us than white supremacy, but people are acting like it is or at minimum equivalent. This immigrant shit is just a distraction from the real threat.

More than Black people it is other Latinos still supporting Trump and ICE. Some of you are looking for rage in the wrong place. Black people aren't new or exempt to being treated like criminals when we are not, but apparently many Latinos believe they are white, so no matter how many Black people oppose white supremacy, it has nothing to do with non-Black people betraying their own to support white supremacy.

I really don't get the debate here. Black people don't owe anyone any helping hand. Completely the opposite is the case.

But some black people are betraying their own to support white supremacy. If black people are cool with what’s happening then that’s implicit support of white supremacy because the tactics are clearly white supremacy. Like you said, we know this playbook.

Again, not saying we should be on the frontlines, but given we know all too well these tactics, we shouldn’t be cool with it either.

This is white supremacy fellas

Textbook example

What too many people in here don't realize..........or refuse to acknowledge..........is that it's the immigrants who are aligned with white supremacy.

Not us.

And it's almost understandable since they've benefited from it up until now.

The only reason they want to unite and come together now is because it's not working for them anymore.

If they were left alone and all of this was happening to us, you wouldn't be hearing a word from them about coming together.

Too late now.

Not our battle to fight.

Hopefully this might give some of you some insight in regards to what's happening right now.

Feel however you want about immigrants and their desire for a proximity to whiteness...but the bold is flat out wrong and historically inaccurate in terms of immigrants from multiple backgrounds aligining with Black Americans. Unless you think you're exempt from the effects of white supremacy, which you're not, then it's a constant battle.

How many "people of color" arrived in this country and graduated to whiteness after turning against Black Americans? Its almost a model at this point. I'm wondering if this is all just a trap for Black people. They know how sensitive we are about civil rights, we just can't help but get involved. Though usually getting involved means more just cause for white people to legalize Black hate. Then when white people are losing, they graduate some immigrant group to "white" status and Black people are alone in the fight wondering where all the allies went.
