There's a lot of layers to this film I enjoyed it
What a start to 2026
I thought they amped up the brutality in this. I loved how committed Ralph Fiennes is to his role cause that sequence near the end was insane lol. He's clearly one of the more underrated actors right now. I hope O'Connell isn't typecast but he's excelled in being an antagonist between this and Sinners. His character is a depraved, narcissistic charlatan who looks for people he can groom. As a matter of fact, some of the most barbaric acts in this film come from his cult than the actual infected. It shows that these primal instincts exist in us even without the virus. I like how the theme of religious extremism is prevalent throughout this, especially when you contrast Sir Jimmy with the atheist Ian.
I get people didn't like the change,e but it followed British/European poltics and I think it was more addressing the climate we live in today. I liked the message and tone of the last one.I wasnt really a fan of the tone shift from the original to the last one. Havent peeped this yet. How does it measure up? How would you rank them since youve seen em all
