A GoFundMe campaign created to support the family of the Minneapolis woman killed by an ICE agent on Jan. 7 was closed Jan. 9 at $1.5 million.

A GoFundMe campaign to support the family of Renee Nicole Good, the Minneapolis woman killed in a Jan. 7 shooting by an ICE agent, has closed after raising more than $1.5 million.

The campaign was started hours after Good, a 37-year-old mother of three, was shot while in her Honda Pilot SUV at an immigration enforcement operation on a residential street near her Minneapolis home.

After the campaign collected $1,503,533 from more than 38,500 donations, the organizers posted a note thanking contributors for their generosity. "We’ve closed this GoFundMe and will place the funds in a trust for the family," the note said. "If you’re looking to donate, we encourage you to support others in need. We’re truly grateful."

Can US citizens detained by ICE not sue the government? If all of these people formed some sort of class action lawsuit and won a precedent would be set that might actually ease some of this bullshit that’s happening.

Maybe there’s already a precedent? Let me do my googles real quick.

Edit: apparently you can but it’s a high bar to prove. I would think that bar is substantially lower now though.

If ICE roll up on me I’m speaking the little bit of Spanish I know so I can get paid, lol. Show up in the courtroom with my heavy southern American accent, lol.

Maybe after yall find a way to impeach him. All of that stuff would only have a chance if him and his cronies are out the way. I definitely see a class action if you guys find a way to get him out of his presidency and roll back some laws.

If a court rules on a case like this it’s going stick unless the government petitions to the Supreme Court. And I can’t see the Supreme Court overturning such a decision.

And if that last comment was a shot because I lol’d a couple of times I don’t need to be reminded how serious this is. I live here.

Yeah you do live there and I wonder sometimes if yall understand how your decisions good or bad particularly regarding your government greatly impact not just you but the other 95% of the planet.

As a unit yall might want to tighten up. Take that as you will.

Don't forget the need to get a conviction in the senate. You need like 2/3 majority to convict
