It would be another 10 years before getting that story as they're building the X Men up.

The way you feel about the Phoenix is how I feel about Wolverine. It should never be Wolverine and the X Men.

The X-Men in this movie are variants from an adjacent Fox universe; They arent the exact same folks that we watched in the movies.

Yeah out of the infinite universes, these x men are plucked out of a universe that are similar to the ones from the og films, but not the same outcome of events from those films. Hence cyclops, professor x, and others being alive.

They ARE the Fox X-Men but shit went down differently in their timeline than what we saw in the Fox movies. Thats why its an adjacent universe.

The Fox X-Men Universe We know (all the events are what we saw happen in all the Fox movies) Call it X-111

I think its been said before they bringing all these folks back for one last hurrah before everything is reset once this multiversal arc is over. I doubt they have any intentions of having the old fox folks back long term at all. We getting a new XMen group for sure
