Basically she went to space As an astronaut On some secret mission And came across some alien life That got her pregnant. her husband Down on earth Created this android son for them who is like a human.

When she returns pregnant the government people took the baby out her stomach, Incubated it And then the alien baby escapes And starts making people kill each other and stuff.

they spend their time pretty much Trying to find the alien offspring That her space crew Government people attempted to cover up The android son her husband created Helps them with this mission because he starts getting all super smart and stuff

I'm only on season 1 It's pretty decent given the fact that I don't really watch TV so what would I really know about a good show

Yeah I struggled through it over years tbh. It definitely drags at some points but it was very solid overall.

I kept trying to watch Sugar late at night after I popped a gummy

For some reason it reminded me of two things that pissed me off

1. This detective game i played a few years back. I can't remember the name but he was killed and as his soul, he had to try and figure out who shot him. He wore a fedora

2. The dude on the expanse who wears the fedora

I know Colin doesn't wear a fedora on sugar but I think the film gradiant on all three of those projects pissed me off

It was that show on Amazon with the lightskin kid whose parents died in a car accident and then some other wild shit happened. I can't even remember what that was called. I was wrong for that tho lol. Definitely an egregious suggestion by me. Players fuck up.

STAR TREK : Starfleet Academy




Another show in the Star Trek universe has arrived and Im enjoying portions of the show. Whenever a character is introduced that has been dealt a bad hand in life i instantly root for them. Enter Caleb Mir who's chip on his shoulder fortunately isn't nailed down so he isn't one note. Holly Hunter who definitely doesn't miss arm day at the gym is Nahla Ake, the Academy's chancellor and the starship's captain. I like the spirit of her character. I can already see bonds and friendships growing and I'm glad it doesn't dwell on certain characteristics that would make the show clichéd and boring. Paul Giamatti chews the scenery and then some as Nus Braka, basically a space pirate. Of course the CGI and SFX are nearly flawless. There is a campy silliness to some of the story and actions of some of the characters. I enjoy some humor but not clunky and obnoxious humor.I dont really like the design of the ship Athena. Episode 2 was a bit weaker and felt drawn out There is a story thread and conversation that is becoming repetitive and if it's carried over into episode three that will be a problem for me. There are nice nods to previous Star Trek series. I know some have complained about the teen angst in the show and I see the WB/CW corny turns but for now I chalk it up to young adults doing what they do.
