US Aggression against Venezuela

If you're living in a country that has a POS and he's killed your family members and caused havoc on the citizens, would you still feel this way?

Biden could have done it, someone had to do it. Let's not do the illegal game, plenty of Presidents has done some illegal things, let's not do that
Lol you're doing your usual shtick

It's still illegal

Is this true?

“illegal” claim ignores the legal framework behind Maduro’s capture. The operation was authorized under existing U.S. law, specifically the indictment for narco-terrorism and conspiracy to traffic drugs into America. The Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) against transnational drug cartels, updated in 2024, provided clear authority.Hostin also overlooks that over 60 nations recognized Maduro as illegitimate, and the Biden administration itself had a $25M bounty on him. The Laken Riley Act, Section 2, mandates detention for foreign nationals charged with serious crimes, reinforcing the legal basis for targeting Maduro. When a dictator floods U.S. streets with fentanyl and destabilizes the hemisphere, decisive action isn’t “piracy”—it’s enforcing accountability. The real crime would’ve been leaving a narco-terrorist in power while Americans die.

Ok

Sue Me

Them people over there don't care if it's illegal or not. You're worried about the wrong thing, Save them babies

Not really a good point here, since most of us consider that Biden to have been a cancer. He's the one that fathered that bill that hurt our community.

Only congress can declare war or authorize such military force

The trump administration has been treating trumps word as law when that's not how it works

Random was stated that the action was illegal, my stance is kool, if his family or better yet, my family were suffering from a person like buddy, then I wouldn't care if the action taken was legal or illegal.

He cares about it being illegal, not that the people over there in that country have gain their freedom etc etc.

That's how he feels, Kool, I was just looking at it as if it was me over there and my family was suffering, a hero in a cape doing it legal or illegal to save me and mines, I wouldn't care

That's fair. It doesn't work like that, Kool. I'm sure more Presidents will do things off the books.

The legality of it is important though. Even if everyone in Venezuela is happy about it, a president unilaterally acting in this way breaking national and international law is a bad precedent. As people have noted, when China goes after Taiwan or Israel starts some stuff. What grounds will we have to check them when we've done something like this?

Also, those people aren't really getting freedom if Trump is going with his plan of installing a puppet government and then letting his oil baron buddies steal Venezuela's rexources.

It may not be freedom to you, but if those people feel free, let them feel it.

Also, I'm not in any disagreement about the legality of the action, I just don't care when others have done it for other reasons. I just know of this reason, where oil barriers are involved or not, those people wanted that man outta here.

If Biden would have done it, I would feel the same way

I don't know what any shick you're talking about, actually, I just placed you and myself over there and asked what I wanted for me and my family.

You chose to concentrate on whether the action was legal or illegal, when I was looking in the lens of those people over there instead of your lens.

I even said cool. I'm looking at the situation from those folks lens, not necessarily yours

You misunderstand. I'm saying they aren't going to feel like its freedom either. You're forgetting all of this has already happened. We're basically replaying the Iraq war. There legitimately were Iraqis celebrating Saddam being taken down and then we wound up in decades long war because they ultimately weren't down for what we had planned for them.

We'll just have to see how things go. Not saying you're wrong or right. I'm saying we shall see, but now, those folks over there have been saying how they are glad that buddy is not in power any more.

Again, I'm looking at it from their lens, not my own.
