US Aggression against Venezuela

After attacking Venezuela and seizing its head of state, President Trump said on Saturday that the country had been “hosting foreign adversaries” and asserted that “American dominance in the Western Hemisphere will never be questioned again.”

His remarks appeared to be a broadside against Russia and China, which both built close ties to Nicolás Maduro, the captured Venezuelan leader. But in fact, there was also plenty in Mr. Trump’s words and deeds that Beijing and Moscow could get behind.

Mr. Trump’s stunning assault on Venezuela has ushered in new uncertainty around the globe, with allies and adversaries alike scrambling to reckon with a superpower ready to use force in the service of a transactional, might-makes-right foreign policy.

For the two countries long seen as America’s chief adversaries, Russia and China, that uncertainty is tinged with opportunity, foreign policy analysts said.

“If we have the right to be aggressive in our own backyard,” said Fiona Hill, a Russia expert at the Brookings Institution, “why can’t they?”

This shit is a joke
She says some dumb shit, gets proven wrong, then just pivots to some other dumb shit

Ho don't even care about wtf she's talking about, just following some script

Bruh, that was legit amazing. Broad was like "But we made indictments. If we don't serve them, what's the point." That's just it idiot. There was no point. It's all BS. These people really piss me off.

Also, this is going under the radar for some reason, but we basically killed 80 innocent people in those bombings that by the Administration's own admission were only carried out as cover for the kidnapping. Trump and all his people need to be prosecuted. They've directly killed hundreds of people and indirectly killed maybe hundreds of thousands at this point.

Said this already...

It was his signal to Russia and china that they can do the same in their respective regions. That colonization of resources and annexation is now in play as long as everyone stays out of eachothers way. None of the big 3 really want smoke with eachother like that. It would be too devastating. This is the offer of compromise. "We'll be over here taking for us, you feel free to take that for you over there"

A proverbial "who gon check us?"

Scary times for Europe, Asia and the Americas. I don't know how this doesn't end in world war outside of buddies cap getting peeled.

Well if the majority of Venezuelans were happy about this then you'd think the Maga idiots would be able to post real videos of Venezuelans cheering and not clips for two year old soccer celebrations.

I got online afterwards and have been seeing that folks are happy over there....most even in this clip, how Whoopi tried to turn the situation bad, ole girl stood up and spoke her mind

I don't know much about Maduro or his reign. I do know that the South FL Latino community voted pretty heavily for Trump, so I'd take their support from him with a grain of salt. I need to see accounts from people in Venezuela saying they were ok with Trump bombing their country as cover to kidnap their president and with Trump's plans to essentially take over their country. I haven't seen that yet. What some people living in America have to say about it is less important.

That's fair, just looking at his record, and what he's done, the people voted him out, he lost the election, he wouldn't give up his seat, and then he sent the winner into exiled. He caused over X amount deaths according to the people, if I was to guess, I'd think they're pretty happy. Not all of course, but I would say the majority.

He can be a pos and it still be illegal for trump to have gone in and taken him out

If you're living in a country that has a POS and he's killed your family members and caused havoc on the citizens, would you still feel this way?

Biden could have done it, someone had to do it. Let's not do the illegal game, plenty of Presidents has done some illegal things, let's not do that
