Maybe I missed it but did it explain why Vecna chose the kids that he selected to feed off? Was it random or was there a reason?

Really fam? Lol

So everyone is asking questions and getting answers but mine is the one that gets a "Really Fam"? Like I said, I may have missed it or may have forgotten. What was the reason those specific kids were picked?
I know why he uses kids, due to their vulnerability.

Oh, I misunderstood your question. My apologies

I think it was just a plot device or I assume they were more vulnerable than the others

The kids he chose had some sort of traumatizing secret they were keeping.

The cheerleader and basketball player were abused by their parents but acted like everything was all good.

The reporter kid and Max have survivor’s guilt from someone they were close to being killed.

They could have done a better job of establishing a stronger connection for why Vecna targeted them though. Maybe all of them could have been directly involved with someone’s death or something like that.

Vecna talks in season 4 about his father’s guilt from ordering the bombing of a home with innocent people inside and how his father acted like he and their family were perfect. He hated the lies people told when they were tragically flawed.

Respectfully this was probably one of the more explained plot points in the show. They've dedicated entire parts of seasons to it so you really shouldn't have needed an answer to this in season 5. It's way too late in the game.

I don't want any problems tho...

Thanks. That's all I needed to know.

This show has been going on since 2016. Year gaps between season 3 and 4. Like a three year gap from last season. I dont dedicate my life to remember shows. Sometimes I go back and rewatch seasons of a show if it doesnt take that much time.

Cats asking about what the upside down world is exactly and they described that pretty well in this season and I picked it up instantly. But I get smart comments about asking why Vecna picked those 12 kids specifically? I got the rest of the plot lines. Sometimes I just need actual simple reminder to spark my memory. I usually watch recaps but didnt this time

I just finished season 4 of a rewatch I started last week. A lot of shit I forgot too that made what happened in season 5 make a lot more sense.

I thought the show said he chose kids because their minds are easier to manipulate or something along those lines?

That’s my bad. I thought he was asking why Vecna targeted the kids he used to open the portals in season 4.

As for the 12 kids he chose in season 5, it was like @AP4.0 said and he chose children because they are weak and easily manipulated. I don’t remember there ever being a reason he chose those 12. From what I can gather it was fairly random. I think he could have taken any 12. It probably ended up being those 12 because they had some sort of relationship to one another and convinced each other everything was cool with Vecna.

It was okay.

I did like the call backs showing them when they 1st started to where they are now. Crazy how we watched those kids grow up in real time.

For the people saying it was too easy what more did you want to see? You just wanted them to die?

It was easy but for good reasons in a dnd game unlike Asian rpgs when you do the side quest extra work etc you truly can be a step ahead of the game and when you get to the final boss you will have the knowledge skills to get over it without great struggle because you already struggled for 100 hours to begin.

Been playing bg3 so much I see all the dnd tropes within the show

Typically in D&D someone dies because they can't take a hit even when they're leveled up. Some characters just don't have that kind of protection. Usually someone has a resurrection spell

That’s the beautiful thing about dnd games you don’t have bring the person back the story will change around it , kinda crazy with this logic we could of been axed out Eddie ever coming back because in most games you can’t resurrect a main party member temp companion which was Eddie
