OPINION Contradictions and Lies! Exposing the Democratic Party

Was just coming to retract my previous statement.

I stand corrected

Outside of the big 2. Other notable candidates included Jill Stein, Robert Kennedy, Cornell West. Warren was not on the ballot

The others, I had never heard of prior to the election.

Noone is forced to chose those 2 is what I was countering and Stein policies were 10x better imo

And to add to this, we were having a convo about solutions. U said they weren't viable and never got back to my response to that post.
Thank you

By viable,I didn't mean to infer they weren't capable of doing the job but that the effort it would take to convince a majority of the country to vote for them would be an extremely daunting task thus rendering them not viable

So what are the alternatives besides doing the same thing we've been doing?

Just a little insight for those that dont live in the area.
I live in MD, bout 30min from downtown dc. Im in dc several times out the month. They deployed the Natinol Gaurds in places like the national mall, some metros (mainly the tourist metro stops), and federal buildings. High crime was not at any of those places. Some of the metro stations where they are at can be a little unsafe sometimes, so there presence does help there. Crime rate was already on the decline before the NG came through. The NG presence does help but again, they are in tourist areas and federal building areas. Before all this, you could walk the national mall and feel safe. It is a populated area with police , so it is hard to do crime there. Same with the federal buildings
Thank you for being real.

Its becoming a rarity in ABW these days

IDK what else to call it when you admitted you weren't up on Kamala's proposed policies when you said things wouldn't be much better with her in office had she won

Again, even if the bar was status quo and she kept everything Biden did, that was still better than what's currently happening. To me, in this discussion, it should be ok to point out obvious things. That shouldn't require any qualifications.

I think there is some confusion that we (myself, czar, black, etc .) would be just fine with that and I feel pretty confident that I can speak for them when I say you would be wrong.

Things could always be better. We should always demand more of the political representatives in office but to Chicago's point, if the Republicans can put the bar back in hell, the Democrats will always look like the knights in shining armor when they have to come in and clean things up
pull my quote(s) where I said this

my argument was never about policy but her weakness as a political actor

ya'll were the ones in here trying to use policy arguments 🙁

I stated repeatedly that policies don't matter if u can't even get into office to implement any of them.......hence how silly she looked running that half-ass campaign

plus Kamala would've had additional obstacles even if she did win

This guy refuses to accept that "both parties are the same" is an privilege he enjoys that doesn't apply to us. And to take it one step further he sees it as his role to educate us about how misled we are in our own damn space. The arrogance is astounding.

Shit like this is not a "both sides" thing. This is real. This isn't an individual talking about hot sauce this is the brazen white supremacist agenda of this administration. For you it might be no biggie but for us shit like this is important and for some reason you don't seem to want to understand that. It's the same reason your boy Bernie couldn't get elected as dog catcher if there were black people in Vermont.

My point in bringing up "hot sauce in my bag" is that for a party who prides themselves on representing a certain group of ppl, they can't even do the easiest thing, get the messaging right. That says a lot more than you're prob willing to admit.

As to your other point trying to make this about me, I live in Chicago. Democrat run from top to bottom. I can run a list of Dem politicians that hurt black communities. Not bc I say so, but bc black ppl who historically voted democrat say so.

One of the women that started Chicago Flips Red did it in part bc of housing discrimination against blacks in Chicago.....by Dems. Look at Tiffany henyard from dolton il. Look at housing disparity by race since 2010. Look at the new property taxes being implemented that are gonna double only black and brown communities bc downtown is losing businesses. Black people are going to lose their homes. Do I think flipping red is the solution? Absolutely not, that's not the point tho.

Please tell me u have a better idea than vote blue no matter bc let me tell u from experience, it's not working.

If policies don't matter, then why are any of us doing this for?

point them out and educate them since u can assess who is out of their depth 😂

Smh. Since he taking shots, let me get my shit off too.

He's a foreigner and wanna tell black folks what we should be doing.

I don't take them people serious.
He don't even press his government where his grandparents from

So they were better than the no one you didn't pick?

What are we doing here

You voted for Kamala, and you mentioned that there may have been someone on the ballot that talked about reparations.... I remember Jill Stein made mention about it in her BC interview...

You didn't support her but supported Kamala who said she wasn't going to do anything for black ppl

And yet, you still voted for her, now you choose who you vote for, your vote your choice.

Since you partake into this voting cycle, do you only do research 1 candidate and by the other candidate being the opposition, thats how you know about their policy? Or do you research to see who all are running for President?

Reparations, while it was on my list, wasn't my only issue

Why is this so difficult for you to grasp

YOU didn't vote for ANYONE

See my recent response

YOU didn't vote for ANYONE and I'll reasonably assume you didn't do any extensive research on any candidates and if you did, your positions in this thread surely don't indicate you did
