I rewatched Melo / Iija after I smoked last nite and this is up there with their NXT trilogy. Shit it could be their best match in their entire in-ring history to date. Its their only match to have a straight up clean finish cause all their other matches had some kinda shenanigans that effected the outcome.

The US Open challenges probably ends with Melo and it should. They immediately told you who is comin for him so right out the gate he'll have a banger match with Gargano. I think Ciampa would have been a better option cause I think Melo / Ciampa could make good tv especially going into a 3 hour show. Maybe they'll run that right after he beats Gargano. I'm guessing they'll finally close that Miz chapter now that Melo can say I won without you. Idk what would come after but I dont wanna see Oba challenging him and I dont want a Trick feud even tho that feels inevitable. Tama Tonga could still be in the mix that would be interesting as long as they dont run it into the ground and Melo gets stuck in the MFT vortex.
 
Tama definitely gotta be thrown in that mix. They already teased it. Hell I thought we was gonna get a match b/t him and Drag.

then next thing u know the feud aint even for the US title it shift into 6 man tags wit them running MFTs vs Melo, ilja and a returning Sami then they sneak in a quick US title defense against him/Solo on a PLE go home show or some shit

this the type shit SD need to get awayfrom in 2026 ^^^^^^ but with it going back to 3 hours.. they bout to be trying to fit as many people as they can on the card again so who knows what we about to get
