Horrible rollout. Whole team moved like the legacy was on autopilot—thought shit was sweet, no promo, no push, just vibes. Turns out vibes don’t chart.
But they might not care, but it’s still nasty optics for Nas—especially after pulling respectable numbers with the Hit-Boy run. So at this point, yeah… it’s starting to look like Preemo is the one with all eyez on him.
And if they do care, there’s nobody to blame but themselves—and their team (Ian Schwartzman
)—when this album limps, crawls, and eventually wheezes its way to 10k.
Because the anticipation was crazy for months.(years!) Then, 48 hours before release, Preemo said, “Watch this,” and dropped the worst possible teaser imaginable. Like he was daring the fans to change their minds.
If they had teased a joint like “Madmen,” “Git Ready,” or even “Nasty (Esco Nasir),” I guarantee the response would’ve been much better.
