This is the convo I really wanna see more of as I don't have solutions myself beyond getting better candidates who aren't full of shit

Status quo was so stagnant/unattractive that enough people wanted to try something different (trump....also why I think mamdani won)

Trump is doing such a bad job that people are going to want to go back to status quo which is in part what got us here to begin with

Yes trump is a terrible president, doesn't mean let's go back to establishment candidates. If that's anyone's solution then you are asking for more of this doom cycle

Going back to the status quo on either end I wouldn't agree with and i would love to see new candidates. My thing with the both sides pov with Trump in office is there is a very clear difference that these things would not be going on if Kamala had won. That's not some blind faith Dem supporting endorsement. It's a clear fact that shit like removing Juneteenth and replacing it with her birthday as a free day at national parks or continuously pardoning people and then stating "I have no clue who they are" just wouldn't be happening. Trump has nuked the "both sides" argument as long as he's in office. So when folks still decide to ride that line in the current present it shows either an intentional ignorance or a silent condoning of what's going on. You can think both sides are trash while also acknowledging that this current administration has exceeded what people who ride the fence thought they would do or try to implement.

Ive said on here before that Biden would be better than Trump, both sides are still the same. I can acknowledge both those things and we don't have to go through another loop of disagreeing with that.

And even tho I can also admit Kamala would've been better than Trump, I say that knowing that she still wouldn't have been shit. Just another run of the mill Biden type president, her own words.

That's not good enough, and that is what helps get us where we are now.

This is the cycle, and the populist rhetoric is going to be disingenuously crammed down our throats bc they know that's whats currently winning elections......not bc they actually want to fix things.

Eh idk anything about her being part of the problem not saying she is or isn't. There were other ppl that quoted the clip saying similar things, she was just the first person I came across when I shared the post. Idk what ur issue is regarding her and Bernie but from what I've seen she's been critical of him and the way he been moving.

I've said my issues with Bernie before as an individual. As for this particular post of hers she's being hypocritical.
 
I hate to admit it.....but Kamala wouldn't have been better than Trump


the truth is that the bar is so low that it is in hell


people just thinking about the optics and not considering that there is outside shit to worry about as well

I didn't feel confident in Biden's leadership and I def don't feel confident about what America would be like under Kamala's reign either

at best she just would've not messed with shit like Trump is doing.....but inflation would be going crazy and the world would be even more on fire 🙁

Idk about the world being more on fire but during Biden ppl made excuses for inflation and cost of living rising and even bought that the economy was doing good bc he said so.

Some folks even said "well hey my stock portfolio is doing great", I'm not seeing those posts anymore even tho market is even higher now than it was then.

blind party loyalty is what is creating the dangerous political tension between voters on both sides to where no one has empathy for an opposing viewpoint

and our reps vote on shit like it's a sport and they don't care what's right for the people, they just care about their team winning



meanwhile the quality of US political leadership across the board continues to degrade

because politicians running for office don't have any real incentives to actually fix problems

You haven't listed one thing you think she would be doing worse at.

I'd also say that "opposing view point" is a vague statement because some of those viewpoints have people advocating for less than humane treatment of others.
