I think the pressure will be on Nas. Half assed preme is still much better production than nas usually gets (outside of his albums with hit boy) but an uninspired Nas will really bum the momentum for this album weve all waited decades for. I imagine itd be easy for nas to be uninspired especially at this stage of his career. Hes got so much going on outside of rap. Maybe these preme beats will get him some good inspiration though.

I think the one producer who was perfect for NaS and worked with him in his prime was Salaam Remi ....he executive produced about three of his albums in the early 2000s to the 2010s...


Premier just produced a cut here and there on his albums

Eh, had a good run with Nas for some records but there were inconsistent/boring beats as well

Remi got hated on plenty because of that

Yeah I really liked the God's Son album. I think that's one of Nas's best albums.

The album drops next week and we still don’t have a single.
A reason for concern?

Or a sign they’re confident enough not to need one like rest of the projects ?

I dont think theyre too worried about a single. I could be wrong but I feel like nas hasn't released a legit single for a number of his last few albums. I havent paid attention too hard, but I felt like a couple of the magic albums and kings disease albums just dropped out of nowhere. No single or build up. Just dropped it and let people discuss it

He dropped “Rare” before KD2 dropped.
