Tipping At A Restaurant

Most people don't want to pay more in taxes. They want to pay less
 
I don't tip because tipping was created after slavery when black folks wouldn't be paid by the white folks. Folks would leave them crumbs or spare change that they didn't want. That's how the whole tipping started and low wages.

Man pay them folks. Eat that cost, I aint doing it for you.
 
If you work a restaurant as a server, and you work 10 tables in a shift. Approx 5ppl per table. Average bill of about 150. Average tip per table 30 bucks.

That's $150 for the day. 5 days a week...750... Not bad.

If one or 2 tables stiff you, it's still not that bad

But if you barely get 1 or 2 tables a night..... if even 1stiffs you, you're not going to stay there very long.

Regardless of the wage.

And if you're a restaurant manager that's only getting 2 tables a night.. You might eliminate the server position all together and just have the bar run it, or do the few tables yourself.

When I was manager I served mad tables on nights we just couldn't afford any servers

Not a service I sought out though. I didn't call them. I didn't request them. Now if someone comes into my home because I called them to haul some shit out the basement. I might tip those guys. But city municipal workers are not in the service industry. Completely different kinda job.

Then don't go to restaurants.

Go to fast food spots or cook at home. Don't sit down at a table where someone has to serve you. So you want full service and not pay for that? You treating them more like slaves that way if anything.

Especially if it's good service.. they done gave you a nice wine selection....details on the food.. poured your drinks for you. Made sure everything was good. Being all nice and polite, and you just get up and bounce?? Like naw fuck that... You was nice, but I ain't on no slave shit.... Bruh. Then why have them people slave over you,? How you want servants, not pay them... But blame white people.

If you want to be served, pay for it.

If you don't want to be served, because you disagree with full service....then go somewhere where they don't offer full service.

If you made $600-$800 regardless thanks to your hourly rate, does it matter if the tables tip or not?

You are putting more blame on the customer than the actual owner who is not paying their workers???

If folks choose to work for 1 dollar an hour, that's their choice. If I choose not to tip them that's my choice. But if an owner choose to offer 1 dollar an hour, that's a slave deal

I can't stress this enough.... If you invest money .... New restaurants are a horrible investment.

Only about 40% of restaurants make it past 10 years. The don't turn strong profits. Location is highly important, and name recognition is everything.

Niggaz spend a lotta money on deco, and expensive foods, chefs, every body think their shit is gonna be the best shit out.... Till they start looking at them books

Not the point, everything is an investment, especially when you're using your own money, that's the risk you take

Wages are wages, just because you jump into an industry and it has a % failure rate, doesn't give you the excuse to pay your waiters etc 1 dollar an hour.

Folks will pay for water, lights, gas, etc but don't wanna pay their workers, but want the customers to do their job. Make that make sense.

You wanna charge me to drink, and eat at your restaurant and pay your workers? Say that out loud bro

again, the numbers you're talking are unrealistic....

if they paying $1 an hour, they don't have servers bruh...it's counterproductive at that point....restaurants do not make that kinda money. paying a person $1 an hour is paying a person you really don't need, and at that point you're losing more money than you make....cuz servers eat for free....$1 an hour, their meal costs more than you paid them,,

i alredy told you the resturant i worked in them niggaz was getting 10-12...and we still had to cut niggaz when it was slow.


if they getting paid $1.....that shit is closing in the next few months.....you're literally describing the reason why restaurants don't last....and your solution is to short these people????

I'm saying 1 dollar for shits and giggles, content material, but let's add in some real numbers, most make what, $3.25 or $3.75 an hour?

If they're at that wage, the restaurants shouldn't be charging 18 dollars for a burger or having crazy prices for their entrees

If a bill ends up being close to 150 -200 range, a waiter should not be making $3.25 in that establishment.

the attitude you have towards tipping is why restaurants are a horrible investment. there's no real money in it...unless you're already well established....and in that case no one really cares, they just gonna talk shit about you for being cheap and broke.

by not tipping you're either 1 contributing to the failure of another already failing establishment
