OUT NOW Big K.R.I.T. - Dedicated to Cadalee Biarritz

Added to Calendar: 12-05-25

Hes predicting a flop

Not wishing for a flop

@Silverfoxx is tired of Krit rappin about cars and i dont blame him
Bro my thing is he can rap about cars, but the song was mediocre bro, and i can tell when he not on production. Also I think Krit has more to talk about. Shit felt like a throw away track from Krit iz here.

But I'll leave this discussion though, I dont want this thread just be me bitching about homie. Hopefully next Friday these posts of mines will age like milk.

Sure rap about the car.... but a whole project?.... possibly whole series about his caddy

Idgaf about your whip like that

I didn't wanna play back either song

Been wondering where Krit wuz fir past 4 years and now im not even hype for the project

Akeem Ali mida took his spot as far as best rapper from Mississippi

I kinda understand what silver is saying but at the same time, I'ma still give him a listen

I don't care about sales so flopping isn't on my radar

The only reason why I brought up sales is because if you know Krit shit like that affected his mental health, where he picked up drinking and shit. Not sure if he still care about that, but he has talked about not getting his respect on multiple albums and interviews.

I think one thing that cant go overlooked is this nigga may be spooked to sample because of clearances which is harder for him since he is indie.

But my thing is if he gonna work with other producers at least work with more creative producers man.

I'll be listening to this next Friday
If i dont like it I wont say shit, but if its dope I'll eat crow publicly. Personally I missed the fuck out passionate Krit and his full creative brand (sampling/production, creative concepts, talking about shit in a non singing manner) if he brings that shit back next week with just weak singles I'll give it a pass.

Digital Roses Don't Die. Yeah. Shit even the EP he dropped after Regardless It's Still Timeless outside of My Sub VI he wasn't rapping about cars
If you go in that Digital Rose's Don't Die thread I was low on that project as well but I respect him for trying to do something different. Did you dig that album? Not judging if you did bro it just wasn't for me

It's aged good and I listen to it now more than when it dropped. Just 4 You, Would It Matter, Generational, It’s Over Now, All The Time, Rhode Clean are all songs I still listen to. I actually didn't really like It's Still Timeless. My Sub VI was underwhelming as hell

Let's flush this out.
You covered everything I wanted to say in your subsequent posts. The only thing I will add is the power of words and naming things.

His name is an acronym, and that is dope as hell. However, it implies getting his flowers later: King Remembered In Time. No matter how he markets it, he's directly saying that people will realize his status later. Yes, he wants to be remembered. However, he wants to be acknowledged today too. Imagine TI calling himself the King of South Eventually. Would he be as revered and respected? That's essentially Big KRIT's name: "I'm a big deal, but you'll get it later." It was clever but has no confidence when you sit with it.

Everything else flows from that name: As a fan, I feel like his career is built on tomorrow because we will know that he was one of the best out when we look back, so that keeps him from going or having to go as hard as he can today.

Other words, the onus is on us to realize the greatness he dabbles in displaying on the "Mt. Olympuses," "Lac Lacs," "Hometown Heroes," and "Soul Foods" rather than on him having to prove his own point, which is that he's Big King. We'll remember him though. Just not acknowledge or pay homage today.

And I hate that for him because I been a fan a long ass time.
