So I am rewatching the IT movie from 2017. There were 3 big events that happened in Derry. If you pay attention to the intro, it shows some of those events and how pennywise was behind them. My assumption is the more terror pennywise creates, the more fear it creates. Or it is just a way for him to cover his tracks as he feeds.

From the movie part 1 at 1h 8m mark, they mention:

1908: iron works explosion

1935: Bradley gang (the intro shows people with guns shooting g and pennywise on the light post shooting down)

1962: Black spot. (I think this is where the series is starting)

They want this to be 3 seasons long if the 1st season does well. I think they may explore those main events. Each a different feeding cycle.

Yes, they intend to explore these events

So each season will go back in time?
That’s what I read before, but they’re already going back in this season. I guess though they only went back because the general and native lady were present at the time. If they focus on an earlier year they’d probably follow different people.

I approve of this nerd talk💪🏾

I knew this was dude was getting cheeks from a white woman to have got caught in a lie on where he was that night lol.

That shit with Marge's eyes was gross. They gotta stop with these transitions from gross scenes to food lol

Of course, white folks are to blame for Pennywise being so powerful. The backstory on how the entity got to Derry hundreds of years ago and how the Natives realized how to keep it at bay was dope

Best episode of the season so far. Im especially fuckin with the flashbacks.

Get Marge two-faced ass outa here yo lol.

So if Pennywise gets stronger the more he feeds and the stronger he gets the further outside of Derry his influence can go I wonder why he only fucks with the children instead of going after the army folks that are messing around in the western woods or even more of the townsfolks
