I don't hate the idea on paper, I just don't see NBA teams being willing to develop a young talent for another team, even if it means that player is gonna contribute to them this season, cause how much can that player possibly contribute.

Flip this though and say one of the European teams takes a young player drafted to an NBA team on loan when that league starts and I think its a fire move.

You didn’t ask me but as a soccer fan, I think it’d be dope.

Could be an issue with fans: “I came to see player X but he’s on loan with another team.”

Definitely could work around that, though.

I dont think loan system working in the NBA

Why would a team invest time in developing a player just for him to leave? Really no incentive to do that

Soccer also allows teams to be promoted and relegated
