It's not that I don't think that Egor Demin could be good, but it was a reach to select him at 8, especially when much less risky prospects were available. Brooklyn passed up on:

Derik Queen
Carter Bryant
Will Riley
Cedric Coward
CMB


... to take Demin.


In addition, they passed up on:

Will Riley
Jase Richardson
Noah Penda
Liam McNeely

... to take Traore, Ben Saraf, Drake Powell and Danny Wolf. I like Wolf and Powell has potential, but these are are still questionable picks.

Right now it is looking like the Nets really royally fucked up this draft.
 
Are the Knicks gonna be better with Mike Brown vs Thibs? Who knows.

What I do know though is that Knicks were up 30 and Mike Brown took the starters out starting around the 2 minute mark of the 3rd quarter.

Had we still had Thibs, the starters would still be out there up 30 with 3 minutes left in the game

I remember laughing at the Demin pick

There’s a world where the nets package those picks to wind up drafting Carter Bryant and Derik Queen
