And relatedly he was known as killa cam and kfc in the early days, not CAM’RON … Drag’on is ALSO alleging that cam’ron stylized his rap name in that way, because he was biting

I know what youre saying and I remember the Cam and Drag'On 'cold war' years back...

IMO Cam just reinvented his flow (and image), hes done it like 4 or 5 times now... COC Cam was too 'street' or generic to be a commercial success on a major... Then just before/during CHWM being on The ROC he switched it up again, getting rid of the start/stop flow, then he went to the dumbed down 'Get computers, Putin' style and years later stepped way from that too...

Regarding his name, he still used to rap his full name even in the COC days 'Killa kid, Cameron, surviving in the Amazon', the hyphenated spelling is surely a reach...

Like I dont even remember Drag'On popping before he appeared with DMX...Didnt X find him at rap contest or battle and put him on a track??? Its not like he had the streets on lock...

I was in nyc at the time and i hadn’t heard of drag’on until dmx and AFTER i already knew cam’ron. But once i really started hearing drag’on verses i saw the strong similarities. And i def remember thinking it was odd, the same way fab, who also came out around that time, sounded just like mase. But by the time sde cam out, cam had already started moving away from that, although he still used it a little on that album as well.

Anyway to your point, i never thought it was that big of a deal. Esp considering Camron rotated between at least 5-6 different flows, rather than that ONE…but it wasn’t until the youtube days much later did i actually hear drag’on himself actually talking about it. I don’t think I’ve ever heard Camron say anything about it.

This has no impact on the opinion of a fan regarding them both. Kendrick is a fan of Wayne, and some people still put Kendrick over Wayne. Personal opinion is YOUR opinion. Not someone else's.

I was outside when both Cam and Prodigy was poppin’. I didn’t pick a side because I fuck with both they music. But P held steady while Cam fell off..

A lot of us weren’t into all that gimmicky Dip Set bullshit..
