I’m sure a lot of people do not scroll to the bottom of the page so they won’t even see stuff

What if they were in Florida and there was a latest post about Hurricane melissa and it wasn’t a featured thread yet? It can be used for exposure or generating views

Also it’s not just latest posts but before Goldie I think changed it was the latest poll as well

Gotta market the whole forum the best you can to gain more eyes on the forum as a whole

There's a difference between an issue that affects everyone vs that issue primarily affecting you

It might be a minor inconvenience for you getting used to something different but you are a member who isn't going anywhere. To someone new, it could be the thing that attracts them which causes them to stay
