Is Malcolm X's "Ballot or the Bullet" speech about "White Liberals" & "Black Democrats" still relevant?🤔

Definitely a powerful speech. Him, MLK, and everybody on the front lines that fought for better conditions for black people were some of the bravest people in history.

Black men and women, descendants of slavery, fighting against injustice in the same country that enslaved them. And doing that in a climate where lynchings and beatings were never too far away. Malcolm was especially brave because he said exactly what was going on with no fear.

In what world is voting for Trump in any way in line with this speech? That’s what 👁️’m asking 🫵🏾. This thread was made by 🫵🏾 so 🫵🏾 need to address that.

You got that message all fucked up. Malcolm wanted the best for black people and to protect them, he’d never directly contribute to further harm.

He encouraged people to vote for someone who would do right by black people, not to vote or withhold your vote to prove a point to democrats. It was about democrats at that time because they were getting the black vote and still filibustering the civil rights and voting rights legislation and gerrymandering districts to make the black vote null (sound familiar).

You voted for someone who is doing the things he spoke against in this speech. You misinterpreting the message helped further the things he despised.

So, no, I'm certain he'll look at his speech from 60 years ago and compare it to the modern day political climate of today and see a CLEAR difference as to which political party TODAY.... in 2025 has shown itself to intentional and willful infliction of pain, suffering, or distress

Malcolm was right about White Liberals and Black Democrats. It was my choice to go against them. Malcolm said these sneaky smiling at your face foxes are worst than republicans.
I use to be a democrat all my life

But recent propaganda from them made me realize they are the real enemies Malcolm warned me about.
