Opposite. Socialism is used to suppress non-white countries. A living wage >>>> "free" programs which aren't actually free and not nearly as good as those for higher income brackets. People who look to the government in a country for help are foolish, a majority population will never put the concerns of the minority over themselves, which is why we should be consolidating our resources/networks.

I’d argue that non-white countries move toward socialism is because capitalist white countries fucked them over throughout history.

Also the 1st world countries that provide their people those services and rights ( free or heavily reduced college/trade school, universal education, extended paid maternal/ paternal leave), aren’t even socialist like it’s painted them to be.

America has some elements of those services/ rights that they provide , just not at a levels it could or should be.

The reason being that in America that would mean too many of us will get access and can benefit from it, which then those ideas get vilified.
