You right that they're not the only conspirators in this...but we also know news coverage is ran by names. If this was the heyday of the mafia when folks knew them by name you'd hear more. But most folks reactions is shock the mafia even still exists. So it makes sense during NBA premier week the NBA players names would draw the most attention. Sometimes shit is as simple as what makes the most money and gets the most eyes. And unfortunately more people who love basketball know Chauncey Billups than some random Italian mobster

The sports betting is one thing but why should any of us care about a bunch of rich people getting together playing high stakes poker games?
