Do you know what the word contradiction means? When I said he was responding to a perceived threat, I also clearly said he overstepped. Did you not read that part. So what's contradictory about saying the instances where he overstepped were bad?

There were several leaks of Classified and other sensitive information. The Obama administration responded to that by trying to lock down on information access. The rules/guidelines they put in place were general enough such that government officials could also use them to restrict access to information that wasn't a national security threat but was instead just a bad look for them. That's typical DC scumbaggery. It was a bad look for the Obama administration but was also par for the course for government bad behavior, so claiming that Obama opened the door for anything is ridiculous. That door was already wide open.

At the end of the day, as bad as what the Obama administration was, it's still apples and oranges compared to what the Trump administration is doing, and you keep trying to ignore that just to pull your typical "what aboutsim" and "both sides" bullshit.

The examples I listed weren't even remotely close to what can be perceived as a threat to national interest so that's false. Youre basically doing what y'all are accusing me of doing except you're only downplaying it bc Trump is here now and escalating.

You expressing what you believe trump is doing bad is minimal at best. You defending him or trying to minimize this administration is far more prevalent. Also interesting out of all the things you answer you never quite get to why you can't just say "this is bad" without trying to draw some equivalent that you also admit doesn't hold up as well as you want it too

What are you talking about? Bro, you're just reading to respond and not reading to understand. I'm saying that the clampdown on information started as a result of a perceived threat to national security. I pretty clearly then said they used that effort to expand that clampdown to stuff that wasn't a threat. Nobody's downplaying anything. I've already said multiple times that the things you mentioned were bad. Literally, no one is saying that what the Obama administration did was ok.

What I am saying is that it's not comparable to what Trump is doing. FOXNews lied about and bashed Obama constantly. He never revoked their credentials or refused to answer their questions. Trump has done both in response to outlets identifying factual information about him that he didn't like. I'm not sure how you draw a connection between what the Obama administration did and what Trump is doing now. Again, it's apples and oranges.
