If this is “money generated from tariffs”…then it’s money we’ve already spent paying tariffs on the shit we are buying….so it’s more like a refund, not a dividend.

And to go one level deeper, let’s say we get this check generated from the money we’ve spent paying tariffs on shit we are already buying…

All we gonna do is spend it to buy things that have tariffs on them

This is so dumb. And i take back what I said. Calling it a refund would seem too positive.

you'd have to be an idiot to believe trump would do this when he and many republicans didn't support the first stimulus checks. the tariffs aren't even enough for the government to fund itself and that's why they're selling special visas and making employers of H1-B's pay $100K. he already increased the deficit by 4+ trillion dollars. he's not handing out any stimulus checks.

I rather them pay off the national deficit first, once that's done, then let's talk about giving the surplus money back to the people.

Fucking deficit bout to hit 40 trillion by the time these checks get sent out. Makes no sense.

And the shit will raise the fuck out of inflation.

Don't get me wrong. I'll take free money for sure. But the impact will probably be over 2k a year with the price increases.
