What's A Basic Skill A Lot of People Don't Have?

We have to know how to read music and play every known instrument to prevent a 0.0000000000000000001% chance of a musical deranged serial killer from attacking us.

:hahaha:

Where did i say every known instrument?

Basic song.
Basic instrument.

They teach this to 3rd graders.

Knowing how to read music and knowing how to play an instrument are two completely two different things.

Just cause you can read does not mean you can play.

This. I can read sheet music to a degree. Basically, I know where the notes are on a staff in relation to the keys on a piano... somewhat. Can't play at all from sheet music tho, not even a little bit.

Naw. One wrong note and it's curtains...

Ain't no playing around. They teach this shit in elementary school. Mad people don't retain it.

Nah bruh, they USED to teach it in elementary. Music and art classes went the way of the dodo bird.

The only way the information is retained is if its used fairly often, and for the overwhelming majority of students, it's not used at all.

My original point is that it's a basic skill, that I'm surprised more people don't have.

I learned how to read music before i was 10 years old... And always assumed most people knew how

Welp, that's a terrible assumption as most of the planet can't read music.

See @AP4.0 the takes track.

Not sure if this is true or not but i thought it would be higher than .1%

I lost a LOT of strength being super inconsistent in the gym over the last couple of years and ^^^ this right here was the main one. I was in the gym this past Sunday and decided to check myself on the bench press ('cause I legit haven't done it in months) and was having issues with just 135.

I was in the weight room with my son at his school.. He threw 225 on the bench cuz he just knew i wouldn't get it up....i got 6 reps. It burned for about a week.... But i did it

I took my middle daughter with me to the gym while she was here a few weeks ago. I felt like I was outchea lookin crazy feeble 'cause I couldn't move nothing like I used to, so the last thing I did was the mid row machine 'cause it couldn't possibly be so bad. Last time I did it I could pull the whole stack (335lbs) for 7 reps for 2 sets, then had to drop down to 305 for the last one. Figuring "I'm weaker now" I decided to call myself starting at 305 to see how it felt. I struggled through two reps before giving up, shit had my wrists feeling like they were gonna separate. Had to drop it down to 245 to make it happen, which she thought was quite a lot but in my head I was feeling chumpish. I felt that shit for days too.

Which is surprising to me bcuz it's such a basic skill!

🤦🏿‍♂️

It is a vocational skill. A basic skill is a fundamental skill such as reading and writing. If you can't read and write, you will be severely crippled in life. If you are not in the music field, reading music has no affect on a person.

Living in Oregon its hilarious to me how many people don't know how to pump their own gas. They got gas station attendants that do it for them. There's also self serve pumps, but there will be lines at pumps for attendants.

So many times I forget about this and ill pull up to a pump and start pumping my gas and some dude will come out trying to help me. Annoys tf out of me, but ive been asked for help by people at gas pumps here. Or people not knowing what side of the car their tank is so they have the nozzle going across their car barely making it to the tank.

One time I saw this girl pull up to a pump in a little Mazda that must've been her parents car. She looked pretty young. She gets out and I Start focusing in my own gas. A little bit into it I hear some guy yelling "hey girl!! Hey girl!! That's the wrong one! Don't do that!!" And I look and see some dude trying to get her attention. She looked super nervous and probably thought he was trying to hit on her or something because she just ran into the driver's seat to wait. I see dude throw his hands up like "fuck it.". Then I notice the girl is pumping diesel into the car lol. By then it was too late. I walked up and tapped on her window and she looked up at me nervous and frustrated probably thinking I was another guy trying to hit on her but cracked her window down and I was like "do NOT start this car. You're putting diesel in it and this car definitely does not use diesel gas." At which point she starts freaking out like "what should I do?!" And I didn't know how to help her but I told her id help push her to a parking spot but she will have to call somebody to come help her get the gas drained out.

When do we need to know how to use this stuff if we are not in the music field?

Music is not taught in all schools anymore.
Nvm bruh, I'm over it. The whole point of niggaz is they like to be ignorant.. Y'all got it.
