2025 NBA Offseason Thread

I have no idea what the Pelicans are going to do

They got like 3 different timelines on the same roster.

The more I've thought about it, the more Fears reminds me of Austin Rivers coming out of Duke. I'm too lazy to look at comps but I just get this feeling. Fears is most likely going to struggle for a while.

No idea what is gonna happen with Queen if he starts out struggling as well. If he can be a serviceable rebounder and don't get abused on defense, he should get consistent tick.

No idea what Willie is gonna do offensively either but if he still on that pounding the rock late into the shot clock shit, he might not make it to Christmas

Regardless of how you felt about Fears pre-draft he was always going to need a few years....guards in general typically dont contribute to winning basketball in their first couple of seasons. He needs to be in a situation that can be patient and give a full runway to make mistakes and work through them


Idk what yall plan to do with Queen...Zion, Looney or Yves Missi arent great fits with him


Offensively I feel like the blueprint has been there for New Orleans....Point Zion, surround him with shooting, put the ball in his hands and let him create the mismatches

Meant to put this in my last post but I don't want another Rivers esque project. Rivers didn't really find his footing until maybe his 3rd team. I ain't got that kinda patience for Fears. That's not fair to him but as a fan, they've been a year away for damn near 20 years.

I do like point Zion. I hope his conditioning is where it needs to be. I do think they will only go as far as he can take them. I'm not gonna even speak on Poole just yet. My expectations are so low and I don't expect much if anything from Murray

Missi needs to find that gear or he gonna be back in Cameroon.

Austin Rivers turned himself into a really solid point of attack defender idk if thats going to be the path for Fears

Like you said being a team thats on multiple timelines is an issue...you have to pick a direction and stand on it at some point

Fuck man yall are in such a tough spot.....everything changes though if Zion can simply just be healthy


Like say if Zion is completely healthy for the first 3 months of the season do you immediately try to sell high or try to ride it out as long as possible and hope its sustainable?
