COMMUNITY United States Politics Thread: Trump's Second Term

I get why a lot of people like her. I just never understood why people think she'd be a good president. Yes, she's typically on the right side of issues, and she's charismatic, but as far as I know, she's never done anything that would remotely suggest she has the leadership and decision making abilities necessary to be president.
I think she would be better off running for Senate.. I don’t think any female has a chance in the next primaries after the last 2 women who won the nomination went on to lose.. I think she’s a good enough speaker & she’s very energetic .. But I don’t see the charisma.. And don’t get why all the constant hype she gets from her loyal gentrified DSA fanboys.. IMO if she ran for President any momentum & hype she would get from the media would be stifled in South Carolina.. The moment that clip of her questioning “Who is Black” would drop in a ad or start being circulated more on social media…

I think someone like Wes Moore would be great. It will probably be Gavin Newsome though. The left loves their charming white men. In the absence of a charming white man they’ll take a charming black man.

The pendulum is going to swing hard back to the left, but not quickly enough for an AOC to win in 2028.

I wouldn't have a problem with her running as VP. That way she could get the executive experience and then make a better bid for the presidency. Hell, for all we know that might be her aim here. She might not expect to actually get the nomination, but she could put herself in a position to become the VP candidate.

This is no longer a requirement.

It will have to be in 2028. Whoever is the next president will have a lot of mess to clean up, and it can't be someone who doesn't really know what he or she is doing as a leader.

I’m not saying it shouldn’t be a requirement, I’m saying it’s not in the eyes of voters.
