I already said regardless of who does it it's wrong. Stopping stories is wrong. You still haven't shown anyone who had their entire show was actually pulled off air for disagreeing with or criticism of the president or people associated with them. Or demands of public apologies and personal donations being made in order to be on air. This is still another level than what you're trying to equate as the same thing. It's ok to admit that this administration is taking things further than you thought they would.

My earlier response stated no one got pulled off air bc networks complied.

Though I did give an example of government pressure directly resulting in dramatically reduced air time.

People who are perma-online will act like things are gloom and doom, but the vast majority are living their lives just fine. Media in general is meant to demoralize you, don't let it.

It's just funny as hell to see him getting canned when he was cool having regular folk lose their jobs.

Its the same thing in that it is censorship. Him using the FCC is more blatant than my other examples but it's all in the same realm. The degree isn't that much more significant than reporters alleging their computers being hacked by an administration and emails showing compliance behind the scenes exposed by foias.

If it's "more blatant" then by definition it's not the same thing. I mean a thunderstorm and a hurricane are both forms of rain but would you say they're the same level of potential damage just because they're both forms of rain? And again your own evidence and words you used shows that this is taken to another level. So either you think it's worse and has gone further or you don't.

And it's not saying another action is wrong, it's your seeming inability to just say "yeah thats wrong" without trying to draw a parralell to something else. The fact that you seemingly just can't say "this is foul" without bringing Dems into it for some sort of "but they do it too" is where your slip shows.

Both are attempts of coercing self censorship. That's how it's the same. Whether something is being don't blatantly vs covertly is debatable as to which is worse. We won't agree here.
