Thats such a dumb answer. Of course they’re going to complain because US vendors aren’t buying as much product. It’s a lose lose for those countries and the US.

Tariffs only work when there is an industry in the US that’s getting out priced by a foreign company. Then you place tariffs on them to make the US business price competitive.

And that only works when the price gap between the two aren’t far off.

Right now, we don’t have the industry for these foreign made products and if/when we do the price gap is going to be crazy.
