Lauri is better fam....he provides a more valuable skillset for a more valuable position and hes also easier to fit on a team

Now contract wise, I wont get into all that Im just talking player for player....Lauri is who you would rather have

The only reason you brought up Brunson is height/size......he doesnt have anything else in common with the kind of players that fall in the category of that video

That’s literally the point I was making, teams are moving away from score first guards with defensive limitations. Unless they feel they can compete with them for a championship, then they’ll build around them. I don’t think the video specified only 2 guards, it’s whomever fits the build. Most of those kinds of players tend to be off guards though.

Explain it to me like im 5. All im hearing is you guys say who you prefer. How is Lauri definitively the better player?

A player who only scorers the ball inefficiently and doesnt do anything else.....is not the same as a player who scores the ball efficiently and who also does other things that drive winning

Jalen Brunson does not fit that mold

And again players with decent efficiency were thrown in that box. So it’s not just about being inefficient.
 
Lauri markkanen next to wemby cool. Next to scottie Barnes at 48 mil minus dick and cmb? Foh. What are you guys talking about?

Jalen Brunson isnt just "decent"when it comes to efficiency though lol.....and again bro, I dont know why you keep ignoring this part..........he does other things besides scoring that drive winning and provides value in other areas

Give me some examples please because I feel like Im being trolled

He's barely more efficient and thats only because hes 7ft tall so naturally he'd be more efficient closer to the basket.

Our best player plays at that position.

You'll have to explain how his skillset is better. Ingram shoots just as well, is a more advanced passer and a better defender.

I gave you an example Poole. He shot 37% from 3 last year, isn’t that not a valuable skill, and when he ran the 2nd unit in Golden State he showed play making ability.

But hes more efficient away from the basket too

Ingram has never had years as efficient as Lauris best and when you consider the usage rate as well that makes a difference....Ingram has to have the ball a lot in order to do Brandon Ingram things

Its tough with Ingram man.....its 2025 and hes a 6"9 wing that needs the ball in his hands and likes to operate in the midrange and he cant defend 3s or 4s

Having a 7 footer that can and is willing to stretch the floor is so much more valuable than what BI brings to table

Money aside which of these is the cleaner fit?

Poeltl/Lauri/Barnes or Poeltl/Barnes/Ingram

Ingram defends 3s better than Lauri defends 4s.

I think yall just don't fuck with Ingram and thats cool but don't throw Lauri in my face like he's him. He in fact is not him.

Ingram is the better fit cause he keeps Barnes in his natural position, is the better defender and can create for himself off the dribble which is something Toronto needs and Lauri lacks.

Comparing Jalen Brunson to Jordan Poole and what he did against second units is crazy and you know this

Being ok and decent is not the same as being elite and exceptional
