To think according to google that N64 cost $199 when it came out, I can only imagine how hard it was for my dad to justify spending that kind of money on that for his son. Idk how ya’ll modern parents buy your kids PS5 and shit lol.

That was still cheaper than the PSX, which was $299 when it first dropped. I was working at Funcoland when it dropped, used joints were only $5 cheaper than new units.

But will it go as long as the PS2 and PS3??? Last game for either dropped 14 years after the console was released. The PS2 seeing a game release in 2014 is nuts, as is the PS3's last title dropping in 2020
I hope not

Not enough people switching to the PS5 and Xbox coming with a series S created the problems we have now as far as games not looking as good as they could

I get that, but the thing is... The graphics capabilities of the PS4 are still really, really good as consoles go. I kinda think there's a lot more to tap into if these devs were to go full GranTurismo and do a low level deep dive and really exploit the hardware for all it's got to offer. I don't think there's a really compelling reason for people to switch outside of games looking "better" even if they're not necessarily being better.

Well performance as well

But take a game like death stranding 2

All PS5 Games could’ve looked like that probably 2 years ago

But pandemic and layoffs didn’t help the industry
