Should There Be A Double Standard With Domestic Violence?

When we think of abuse, most think of the physical part.
The verbal comes first and its usually from the women.

The verbal part should be addressed 1st becuase the 2nd part, the physical comes.

Ive seen in stores and online where the woman will 1st curse the man out or belittle the man.

They should be locked up for that imo.
Any type of abuse should warrant the same criticism. For both women and men.

You treat people with respect.

Some women have a mouth on them that can start wars. Shit needs to be addressed.

I've seen teachers get cussed out by little girls and boys mostly girls and that ain't cool.
They take that same attitude biggidy into their relationships where they can talk to their spouse all willy nilly.

Shit has to stop. Corretta would never cuss out MLK or vice versa

Nah, there shouldn't be a double standard. Abuse is abuse. You strike anyone, you shouldn't be surprised by the consequences. Yes, men are generally stronger but that is not with every case.

Facts.

I wonder if a woman would strike a bear...or a tiger...no becuase they know the nature of that animal...

Know the nature of a man...

When it comes to men, some women think men are supposed to accept abuse because shes a woman.

Most women know right from wrong.
They wouldnt strike that bear or tiger, they know what's behind that strike

Fam…

Now you want women locked up just for saying something?

I don’t have a problem with this double standard. Men for the most part are more physically stronger than women. So I don’t expect the same sympathy for a man getting abused by a woman especially considering that he can literally hem her up at any moment to get her to stop.

If a female celebrity slaps a man in public, people are gonna assume that he somehow disrespected her and she was merely defending her honor.

End of story… She faces no harsh criticism or consequences.

If a male celebrity slaps a woman in public, the fallout will be swift and decisive.

He’ll lose all his endorsements, movie deals…

If he’s a pro athlete, he’ll be suspended and possibly have his contract terminated…

And not to mention the nonstop news coverage and the tongue lashing he’ll receive from the media and general public.

So, my question to you (and everybody else who thinks there should be a double standard) is…..

How is a man slapping a woman significantly different than a woman slapping a man…?

I mean, as far as doing physical damage?

Also, what if a weapon is involved?

If a woman attacks a man with a hammer, is she automatically gonna cause less harm just because she’s a woman…

… As opposed to if a man attacked a woman with a hammer?

Nah, we don’t need no double standards.

Fair is fair.

They'll stop doing it.

I mean you can hurt anybody w/ a weapon or object I mean basically just with hands thats a bit more difficult.

Which is why, more often than not, women pick up a weapon when battering their man.

Not so much in lesbian relationships, that's usually fists and feet.
