Yep there’s a double standard yeah she might not be able to physically hurt you (mostly) but you continue getting into a man face or being forceful or blocking him from removing himself from the situation and expect him not to eventually react but when he does suddenly the standards change and he’s the big bad guy.

There always will be because of a few things...

1. Size difference between men and women
2. The perception that a man who gets abused/beat by a woman is less of a man

The 2nd thing actually affects that double standard more than the 1st. If society didn't assign a lack of being a man to men being abused then they'd speak out more.

She don’t feel comfortable doing that unless that’s a norm in their relationship. They still going to be in private later.

To the point though, yes there should be a double standard given the difference in biology. However, no man should accept domestic violence. And I’m not here to tell them how to handle it if they’re in that situation. Best thing you can do is leave that type of woman alone at the first sign.

Eh. She may just be the type that just doesn't care whether it's private or public. Might have been the first time for them too

He handled it very well IMO. People can call him whatever but he loses the moment he puts hands on her

Such a common misconception. A man should never lay a hand on a women but at the same time the woman gotta know those boundaries don’t overstep them thinking I’m a girl and he’a a guy he’s not gonna hit me. You poke that bear enough they gonna react.

I guess it depends on how long they been together. If the relationship is new then this might have been the first time, but if they been together for a minute it’s probably not.

Same for niggas that has oil, hot grits, or boiling water thrown on their face 'cause they did something that pissed their woman off.
 
I mean you can hurt anybody w/ a weapon or object I mean basically just with hands thats a bit more difficult.
