COMMUNITY United States Politics Thread: Trump's Second Term

Hakeem Jeffries is trash. I can't take anyone defending him seriously. Black people people are losing jobs at a historic rate because of anti-DEI backlash, citizens are being snatched off the street and disappeared, the economy is being tanked because of stupid tariffs, and we're supporting a genocide. All that's happening right now and Hakeem be talking about "We're waiting until the time is right to make our move."
Nigga is Corey Booker with rap lyrics tired of these white friendly types

This is easily top 3 dumbest post ever on ABW. A meeting with a white man "downtown" to be told how to act? What bad movie script are you reading from. You really think white folks was giving Black immigrants a pass on anything and running up on them like "Oh you're an immigrant so we'll leave you alone." You're trying to talk about the process that Asians used sending their immigrants to the US and don't even realize it. You and this image you have of every single Black immigrants being these docile, keep your head down and don't cause trouble group is not only historically inaccurate it's just stupid. Using terms like "overseer" as if folks came over here to repeat slavery and was just cool with it

Talking about "they didn't want Black immigrants adding fuel to the fire" seems like you never heard of Kwame Ture, Claudia Jones, Marcus Garvey, Audrey Loiurde, Shirley Chisolm and a host of others. The comment about me growing up in DC was not about Black immigrants shaping the city. It was about your silly idea that somehow Black immigrants weren't integrated into the city and what goes on here. You ain't from here so speaking on it like you know just makes you look even more ignorant.

I'm guessing this statement is meant to implied that "black immigrants" were a part of the riots and protest happening in the 60s and 70s? when they were not.
I think you should really do some research on how "black immigrants" were able to be apart of the US. You stated that it was the process for Asians used...ok let's do this. I'm not Asian, but I got their process right, but I got the process of "black immigrants" coming into the US wrong. but I got the shit about Asians right? but it came from a bad scripted movie? Brudda you spiraling out of control.

The "truth" doesn't care about who feelings it hurts and it seems to me that your feelings are being hurt because you're using insults, saying things that doesn't make sense and lying about what I'm saying. I just go along with it and poke holes into that.

No where in my post that I said "white folks are giving black immigrant passes on anything" You made that up to try and dismiss my points. I never came close to saying any of that. You're spiraling out of control bud and trying to save face. Women do that.

What was the process that Black immigrants used/had to get here since the shit I said I'm pulling out my ass. Since you know the process of majority of black immigrants getting over here...Please tell us how that went
Since you want us to believe that your parents had a different process, please tell us the process that the black immigrants went through to get to the US in the 70s and 80s and 90s

I said a handful of black immigrants spoke up, Stokley, but we are not about to rewrite history like you're trying to do and act as it was buku of you all on these streets. 1st of all, in your homeland in the 70s, 80s and 90s, you all did not fight the white man that was over there in your own homeland, so you want me to believe in real time that you all came over here (after going through the process that the white man established to get you all over here) were in the streets fighting that same white man? Brudda that doesn't even make sense, when all they had to do was ship yall asses, the entire family back to your homelands.

DC was FBA town, not black immigrant. Again, I start from the "root" of things. I piece together the actual timeline of events, give dates and things. I go into detail about the shit I'm looking up. I give you dates and names and reference so folks can look up the shit that I"m saying

You just want "black immigrants" to be apart of the FBA struggle when it's simply not the case. That's why you trying so hard lol.

You're speaking from a 2025 p.o.v. shit wasn't like that in 70s and 80s, and 90s/2000s. Don't try and make the world we live now seem like it was like that in the 70s, 80s and 90s

Also, let me educate you more so: you're making this easy brudda.

I'll start with Marcus Garvey, that you mentioned. He couldn't get shit popping back in his homeland. Who you think was backing his movement here in the United States? Do you think it was his fellow Jamaicans? No, they ran him out of Jamaica, he was upset with the Jamacians over there, which is why he had to bring his shit to the US to get it popping. Who do you think help propel him to his rank? FBAs, not Jamacians

Also Shirley Chisolm, who do you think was backing her movement? Her ethnic group huh? They were in the streets propelling her huh? Nigga no, she came about FBAs, the black panthers, the other social riders to get her name buzzing

Stockley Carmicheal, who you think got him popping in the US, the Caribbeans? Show us the footage where he's talking to his fellow Caribbeans? Or wait, was he surrounding himself around FBA and the FBA struggle? Was he mostly around FBAs? Or was he around "Black Immigrants"

It wasn't no "host of others"

FBAs propped up every person you name, their own ethnic group was not around, nor in the streets supporting their stance. Them folks got popping because of FBAs and their power, fight.

"Black immigrants" as a whole were not on the scene in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s

See this is where you start to fumble, you hoover over basic things and don't go into details, see how you just threw out them names without giving the full run down, going into detail. You threw out 4 to 5 names in which FBAs helped prop up. Those people were around FBAs, in the FBAs spaces, not in "black immigrants" space.

History is something I know. FBA history at that, you will lost badly when trying to go toe to toe with me about some history in the US that your family not from. I wouldn't advise you to keep going. It can get ugly. I know your whole setup because I lived it. You just read some white folks shit and going off of that.

Again, that chocolate city has nothing to do with "Black Immigrants" being there in DC. At All, but you keep trying to cram "black immigrants" into the space. I'm not going to let you latch on to FBA history bud.

Your kin not apart of FBA struggle no matter how you try and jam your folks in. The history doesn't say so

Your knowledge of history is less than elementary at best.

I don’t think examples of non-FBAs leading black movements helps your argument that non-FBAs were not part of those movements, lol.

If anything, it proves the movements were predicated on skin color and culture, not lineage, which they were.

I'm not about to go back and forth with someone family who is not from here and wasn't participating nor on the scene of things back in 1994 or the 90s when all this was going on.

That crime bill which was drafted by a Democrat Joe Biden and signed into law by President Clinton another democrat was something that destroyed black FBAs. Not your family.

There's the LAPD or PDs/SOs in black areas, (we all stayed around each other in the 90s) so what they would do...you know what....I'm not going to do this...

The bolded lets me know that you have no clue about the history of your party and the things that they did to FBAs

Yes, Crime Bill turn out bad because it was used to give black people who committed crimes unfair jail sentences and higher incarnations rate compared to white criminals
But again, not all black people were/are criminals. So how can THAT be the biggest detriment to our community oppose to systemic white supremacy as a whole???
Where your "crime" is your very own skin color, something you can't help.

It doesn't matter if you go to church, studying in a library, walking down the street, shopping in the grocery store. etc.etc. High school diploma or Master Degree. 1st generation Nigerian immigrant or born & raised on US soil (which I am by the way). You are are judged and sentenced the same because of your skin color by racist white mind

Huh?

Dude, you too? I'm not even bout to do it to you. It's too easy, but I'll just say ok.

Ok

I respect it. Live your life killa and love your family

FBA is a more recent term and before then people didn’t delineate on lineage. So if that wasn’t a thing in those days, then of course they didn’t delineate on those lines.

I’m just stating the facts. Back then they understood power in numbers which is why they organized and even welcomed the support of other races (Nation of Islam and maybe some smaller movements being the exception). Delineation based on lineage wasn’t a luxury they could afford then, and really not one we can afford now to be honest, but social media and grifters have convinced people otherwise.

Gavin Newsom is going to make it hard for another candidate to break through in 2028. Kamala isn't a candidate who needs to break through, as she was already VP and was the nominee on the last ticket.

Anyone not named Kamala Harris will have a hard time upstaging Gavin Newsom, and we're not even in 2026 yet.
Yeah I thought Josh Shapiro would be putting himself out there more by now, but I think he got spooked after they tried to blow his family up...

And people with supposedly higher functioning cognitive skills, see bullshit like this and go:

"Yeah,yeah...that's right!"🤓
