COMMUNITY United States Politics Thread: Trump's Second Term

My nigga, it wasn't that many of you all over here....and this is not a diss, but we have to put everything in its proper place. Most, many black immigrants said to themselves. Many of you all were not in black FBA spaces. Again, black immigrant kids did not have FBA friends, in the 90s, 80s, and 70s, the few of you all that were over here, kept to yourselves because of what that mom and dad told you all.
Say brudda, you all were on nobody's radar as far as white folks targeting you all. You all had to walk a very tight rope. That dad in that family made sure of that. If that dad wasn't around, that mom made sure of that. Yall wasn't outside getting into trouble as kids or as teens...lol again no diss but I want you to understand how shit was around the US in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

You seem to wanna jam how shit is now with you all being vocal in from 2014- now to make it seem like this was the landscape back in the 70s, 80s, and 90s lol. Brudda, your family and black immigrants stayed all the way outta the way....

Hilary Clinton when she made the remark about predators...she wasn't talking about your kin.....that was FBAs...that Crime Bill wasn't designed to target black immigrants over in the US....brudda....many of your grandparents/parents were "vetted" to come over here....yall had to walk a tight line once you all got over here. lol....

You can't latch on to history brudda...and I think that's what you wanna do so bad...but I won't let you because I know how shit was laid out in the 70s, 80s, and 90s and early 2000s.
You can't latch on to the shit that happened to FBAs...

Ahh yes the one thing that America didn't have alot of in the 90s was Latinos. There sure wasn't alot of them in the 90s. You just making up shit to say shit. One thing I didn't have growing up in the Blackest city in the country literally named Chocolate City was...other Black people. That sure makes sense

The fact that you actually think judges and juries were in court talking "Well they're an immigrant or theyre family isn't from here so their sentence will be lighter" is a level of delusion and self imposed ignorance that is astounding. You're the one making that absurd claim so unless you got stats or figures to back it up you just talking out your ass based on your feelings.

You're also conveniently leaving out where a large push and support for that crime bill and crime prevention push came from. And it wasn't just politicians it was people in the neighborhoods being impacted by the crime.

Brudda that's something you're making up lol.....as I stated in my post...black immigrants were not apart of the whole Crime Bill....again...as I stated...you all weren't outside like that...in FBA spaces....
Them white folks were not looking to target the very few black immigrants who were "allowed" to come over here....you already had a tight rope to walk on...
Brudda I know you all whole get up...who shit was setup and went in the 70s, 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. From the style, the diction, where you all live and what you all drove....I can give it to you however you want it...and that bothers you

Again, you cannot latch on to history...because you wasn't apart of the whole ordeal. I think that's what's bothering you because I am not including black immigrants into this whole piece which is how it was

Chocolate City was because of FBAs not black immigrants. You wanna be included into all this here and that was not the case killa

Either way you bring up the crime bill like a lot of our families did not support it? You forget how many black people don’t want to be around ignorant violence. A lot of us were for that bill to get niggas off the streets.

Let talk about it

I'll do you like I did that gray matter nigga and show you that you wasn't around like you think you were...

Do you think black immigrants went inside of "pool halls" and "juke joints" to listen to ZZ Hill and Johnny Taylor all night?

Say brudda, I'll ask you this....in 1995, do you think there was buku black immigrants at Freak Nic? This is where 'everybody' who was in black college went and those who were just in that age group went, the black FBA spring break..

FBAs around 18-26 age range. Do you think in 1995, there were buku black immigrants at Freak Nic?

Better yet, Do you think there was a slew of black immigrants at the Bayou Classic in 1994, 95, 96?

Do you think there were buku black immigrants at the Zulu Parade for Mardi Gras?

What about Kappa Beach in 1999?

Back in those days, everybody attended these events and you want folks to believe on here that black immigrants were heavy in these areas? lol

Brudda I can peel back the layers and continue to show you that you all weren't around....

Do you think alot of black immigrants from 18-27 were at Howard's Homecoming in 1993?

You do know there's footage of these events on Youtube lol...

Brudda you kin black immigrants was not in these spaces at all...If you wanna do the midwest....we can go back to events happening all over the US from the 70s 80s, and 90s that were for FBA kids, FBA teens and FBA adults and we can see if black immigrants were a heavy presence there

You can pull up youtube clips of many events that were had all over the US and see if there was a heavy presence of black immigrants there...Even in DC.

I was at those Howard Homecomings in the 90s brudda, shut the whole city down and guess who was there????

I simply answered buddy question about the Dems doing something evil. Yes there were FBAs elders pushing their politicians to get something done about crime. Crime was out of control especially here in NO, We were the murder capital of the world or some shit and shit wasn't getting done...that's why they went to the politicians to see about doing something...and that's when Joe Biden came up with the bill that got pass by the dems.
The cops weren't solving shit, didn't care or many were paid off.
The shit was so wack in a sense, the shit caused damaged to so many families smh.

Exactly so are we blaming dems or reps or ourselves

lol bruh a good amount of this site was born in 1987. You need to ask about the 2000s.

That's fair, but I want that nigga to know his kin wasn't apart of the shit that took place in the 70s, 80s, and 90s and early 2000s as he trying to make it seem like black immigrants were. I know that nigga whole setup many of them. Them niggas want you to believe how shit is now in 2025...that's how it was in the 70s, 80s and 90s and 2000s. Nah buddy, we not bout to rewrite history so that you can latch yo ass on to our struggle and fight...nah my boy. We not bout to do that. Especially when I was there in real time and seen how the landscape was. Again no diss but we gotta lay the right time line out and get the facts right

I know who wore hard bottom shoes and church slacks/socks to school instead of Nikes lol...I'm joking now, but that did happen....I got love for you niggas man..but we gotta get some straighten

you realize these 1st 2 sentences are blatantly contradicting each other and kills your whole point right? You're literally saying what you claim you're not saying

And you thinking you know the entirety of every Black immigrants experience everywhere in the country is hilarious. You keep going with the idea that you know everything and everyone everywhere is peak American self centered ignorance

I’m not reading and responding to all of the posts, but yes, the 94 Crime Bill did lead to over policing of black people and was terrible.

During Obama’s term there was disproportionate attention placed on LGBTQ rights, and I can understand the criticism. During Biden’s term they did not place the proper urgency/pressure to getting things passed that they should have.

Can we now put to bed the notion that there has been no criticism of democrats and focus on what’s happening now? Cause what’s happening now is so much worse than what’s happened since the 90’s.

Nobody with common sense can deny the bill had a and still is having a lasting impact. But saying that somehow Black immigrants weren't affected by it was just dumb. And also the context of the bill having alot of support initially by people whose communities were most affected is also a key piece to analyzing the effects

Brudda you wanna latch on so bad to FBA struggle, how do i know...I'll tell you....

1. Black immigrants did not stay in "white areas" in the 70s, 80s, 90s,...so who do you think they lived around?? This is not 2025...I'm talking 1992, 1973, 1982
Who do you think they are around? They are around FBAs

2. FBAs stayed around FBAS, we lived around each other in the 70s 80s, and 90s, in the 70s, 80s, 60, and years back, whites kept FBAs outta of their area, they didn't wanna live around us so they setup laws, black immigrants just couldn't afford to live in those areas so they did not target you all (no diss)

3. There weren't that many of you all over here

4. The few that were over here again, stay around FBAs, FBAs shared the same experiences in those days, going to the skating ring, going to the football games on Friday nights. Black immigrants were not going that in the 90s

I'll tell you this to test my shit out...cuz I lived in reality

Ask a black immigrant to show you their prom picture or homecoming picture from their middle school or high school from the 90s lol

Ask a black immigrant over the age of 50 to 60 to show you a prom picture or homecoming picture from their high school....Let's see if they can show it to you

Since you wanna act like I don't know what the hell i'm talking bout...ask your folks to show you their prom pictures and homecoming pictures or club pictures from their day

Brudda in 1995 what were black immigrants doing to be affected by it?? In what cities what were black immigrants doing

From the ages 0-13

13-27

27-45

In the 90s, black immigrants across the US was not impacted by this bill like you trying to make it out to be. The few cats in the NYC area may have made some noise but for the most part, them white folks made black immigrants walk in a straight line....yall wasn't out here causing havoc lol
