Hulu Alien: Earth

Knocked out the 2nd episode. Boy Chevalier gives me Zuckerberg vibes. Man has 0 love for Weyland-Yutani. Xenomorph was absolutely fucking shit up left and right

The behavior of the hybrids once they were inside the tower/ship threw me off and I had to remind myself that these are still essentially children

I liked the first two episodes, save some of the slower scenes. I do like that the xenomorph was given a lot of shine in this, really fucking shit up. And it’s not obscure scenes where you barely see it.

I also like that they have different aliens. That alien tick was nasty. My only gripe is the eyeball alien. How would an alien present as a human eyeball?

The synths really are the best to fight the aliens. The aliens cant use them in any of the ways they used other humans (food, parasitic, etc.).

Ill admit I was confused why it was tryna kill the brotha robot when he was hiding in that lil hatch thing before the ship crashed. I thought he was a straight robot but hes a cyborg I guess?

Yes he is, but then it didn’t immediately kill him when it broke out of that wrapping it was in either. Weird.
 
By the middle of episode one i already started to wonder about several characters that have been in the Alien movies. The characters are interesting and they are doing a good job of getting me to care about several of them. Its also interesting to see what Weyland-Yutani was up to years before the crew of the Nostromo encountered the Alien on LV-426. Director Noah Hawley is doing a great job setting up shadowy and then reveal scenes. The entire cast are doing a great job with their roles.The SFX and CGI are nicely done. Brilliant people with endless cash flows coming up with bad ideas.They are definitely not pulling back on the gore. I'm also enjoying the music. I like the subtle nods to previous Alien movies. The Alien design looks like those Alien action figures that were released by Kenner in the 1990s at times. Great start.
