What's Your Thoughts On Project: 2025 ?

Blame the democrats for losing touch and not doing what they’re supposed to do. To put it in perspective the democrats should’ve done such a good job the previous 4 years that the idea of Trump getting back in office would’ve seemed asinine. But instead they dropped the ball (as usual).
Quoting this as a reply to anyone expecting regret from anyone that didn't want Harris.

She was so unpopular and unlikable that if she did win i would not be shocked at all the terrible things that would follow, because she couldn't get any more unpopular, so why bother to appeal to the masses. They would have won the presidency and still lost everywhere else, and spent the next four years hunting Trump and the Right while doing nothing for their voters.

The fact that the Democrats paraded around such an unpopular candidate along with pushing Biden in front of every camera while he was clearly unfit, all leading up to and during the election... I'm convinced the Democrats wanted Trump to win too. Trump is going to do a lot unpopular things that the Democrats would love to do without appearing as the elitist racist they are.

Absolutely

Got damn the ether smell is strong in here. They really thought this shit couldn’t go left, lol.

If some of these people even show up in here the mental gymnastics will be Olympic level.
I have no prob admitting it went farther than I thought it would

At the same time it's fucked up that the GOP is proving themselves to be the more competent party of the two who actually mean what they say

I wouldn't go as far as saying they wanted trump to win, but they fucked up so bad it def makes it easier to believe that.

As for the rest of the post I can see that but we really won't know until they're back in office and we see what policies they end up keeping.

That's what I'm really waiting for. I want to see how much of Trump's actions they will actually walk back once they regain power. It will be the Patriot Act all over again; Bush introduced it, then to some people's surprise, Obama maintained it. I'm pretty sure those black sites remained open and in use under Obama.

That’s putting it lightly, lol.

How would they even be able to pull off their agenda? There are still three branches of government and from the shit I read they believe a president can executive order their way to authoritarianism.

Republican politicians have to be the dumbest mfs on the planet. This is gonna rile up their "opposition" to vote and they can't even accomplish what they state they hope to.

I can't believe these mfs have power in our govnt

Yeah, if you call competency corruption and disregard for the constitution or rule of law.

On some real shit, at least you not running from the heat. Salute for that.

And it was the fault of those in power just prior to Hitler for his taking over Germany, lol.

A lot of imagination being used here. It wasn’t her unpopularity, it was people downplaying the threat of Trump a la this thread.

They told us what they were going to do if they got elected. The Democrats big brained strategy was to use that as a bargaining chip for votes, “if you want to avoid project 2025, come vote for us the Democrats”. When being proactive to ratify things ahead of time IN CASE THEY LOST, would’ve gone a long way towards showing the people why they should vote for Kamala. This just shows that they don’t give a fuck.

🤝🏾 Respect

I take no pleasure in being right, and I’ve been wrong plenty myself. When all this shit was going down though the guardrails shit was the biggest thing for me.

The stories were everywhere about Trump’s desire to do certain things in his first term just to be stopped by more competent cabinet members. I knew this time around it would all be sycophants and the only thing that could stop him was the courts. But with 3 justices appointed by him and a 6-3 majority that prospect was low. Their decision on Rowe prior to the election told me all I needed to know on how they might swing.

Once Republicans had Congress I knew it was a wrap.

Republicans controlled the House 2023-2025. Unless you wanted Biden to do what Trump is doing, nothing was getting passed to oppose Project 2025. Executive orders would have been cancelled when Trump got in.

People need to start being realistic about what’s possible.

I will say though Biden should have took full advantage of having Congress control 2021-2023 and moved faster on shit like student loan forgiveness, prosecuting Trump, securing voters rights, etc. Dumbass Manchin and Sinema were always blocking shit during that period too though. Biden should have used strong arm tactics like Trump to get them in line and get shit done.

So why should we vote for Democrats again? There’s always some excuse for why they can’t do anything.

Sometimes you have such a unique threat that you have to keep that threat out and regroup. If you can’t see that Trump is such a threat then you’re not paying attention. Live to fight another day shit.

It’s classic boy who cried wolf shit though. Every election the democrats say the republican candidate is an existential threat (and vice versa). So now that it’s real, people ignore it and here we are.

If it was Kamala vs. McCain, Romney, etc., then ok, I can see every argument against democrats and wouldn’t blame anyone for any of their voting decisions. But this shit that’s happening is an outlier.

We knew Trump was dangerous 10 years ago. I’ll even give them a pass for 2016. But not for 2020 or 2024. The Democrats hates their base but they need them.

A lot of people didn't expect congress to just allow him to do whatever he wanted. I think most thought there would be some type of push back

So many caved with that big ass bill and used the same excuse of not wanting to kill the entire bill because they didn't agree with something in it

90% of republicans in Congress are Trump sycophants. 100% will tow the party line when the rubber hits the road. Trump is the Republican Party, so I’m not sure how they would expect that unless they expected democrats to control Congress. But for that to happen you had to vote for the democratic candidate and a lot of people were “no blue no matter who.”

And now Trump is taking away the representation of black and brown people in Texas to continue this movement.
