This Generation Is Soft Pt.3438098: Ari Lennox Says Martin Roasting Pam Hurt Her Feelings

Man, this a cop-out.

I could somewhat understand her catching these types of feelings if the show was running live episodes NOW, although I would’ve said the same thing about not having what she perceives as negativity towards black women in her life, and avoiding the show altogether if she couldn’t handle it.

However, crying about a show that came out a whole generation ago is asinine. That’s like gay people getting mad at Eddie Murphy now for joking about “faggots” in his stand-up movie Delirious, despite the fact that it came out in 1983. No one’s condemning Eddie for that, not even gay men. They just sucked it up to that specific point in time.

Nah. No one would tell them it’s ok to be in their feelings about it. They’d say, “just don’t watch that shit, and that shouldn’t offend you. That was a whole different time.”

But not here. Here is non-stop coddling and validating this, probably because y’all see her as an attractive black woman.

I can do give-and-take when it seems reasonable. This is NOT reasonable, and you know it.

Next thing you know, she (or other dark colored women) will be raging at Spike Lee for School Daze or some shit.

Nobody is going to rage about School Daze because the point of School Daze was to talk partially about colorism. And people know that. Yall be using terrible examples for simple things.

I definitely grew up in the right era because the stuff that me, my peers and some girls would say will probably get us canceled today 🤦‍♂️

lol she 34 she in the same era as half of us.
Which makes this even fuckin worse than it already sounds. At 34, she was definitely alive for the first running of the show, but she’s acting like she discovered the shit last week.

And Sea, STFU. If colorism is her general beef with the jokes, then why wouldn’t School Daze be a perfect example, as your own words said colorism was the #1 issue of the movie?

Y’all can’t admit yall are wrong for shit.

Bruh Ari has mentioned issues with her skin tone before. I have seen posts online about black women feeling like Pam was the butt of all the jokes and nappy hair jokes weren’t cool to them.

It’s not that hard to see where is coming from even if you don’t agree. Like damn bruh stop being stubborn and think deeply.

And she wouldn’t have an issue with School Daze because the premise was about how silly and stupid colorism is. That’s the damn point. How the fuck do you watch movies and not know wtf they about? Laurence Fishbourne screamed Wake Up to the camera for a reason.

Back in the day I didn’t understand how niggas good at math could fail other shit but now I see.

It simply boils down to her experiences with colorism and projecting her insecurities onto Pam

She's 34 I believe so during Martin's peak, she wasn't able to grasp the relationship between Martin and Pam and just assigned it to him being mean to her cause she was dark skin
That makes sense I guess.

He never talked about her color. He did diss her hair a lot and I could definitely see some black women feeling a certain type of way about that.

I appreciate your response because it definitely helped me understand a bit why she might feel a certain type of way.

Wasn’t to sensitive back then and damn sure shouldn’t be now. It’s comedy, leave it at that you either laugh or take offense and turn the channel to something else, thats the great thing about tv and many channels options.

If she's 34 she was literally 6 when the show ended. She was alive but not aware. You're really not making a good case for her being off on this. And the School Daze example is stupid because the entire theme of the movie is colorism. It's the entire point of the film. It's not a comedy. Martin js a comedy that had jokes that she feels a way about. I don't agree with her but your rants ain't helping somebody make a case against her at all

Aren't you a fuckin dropout from college, or did you even bother to go? You been crying about kids from Hampton on here for YEARS.

Fuck ALL the way outta here.

Besides, tell me what joke on Pam is about her skin tone....
