They haven't really updated the numbers in a decade but as we see with the rest of the world, it couldn't gotten much better.

Seems more black men and women in the UK do it than in the US. Interesting. I wonder why that is. I wonder if it's because the UK hasn't beaten the necessity of racial solidarity into its black people the way the US has done with us.

They come from countries where either i) white people are put on a pedestal, or ii) they have a culture that says that you get lighter offspring if you can, or both.

That is more the rule than what happens in the US, where by and large black people prefer (for some, strongly prefer) someone else who is black.

Which is why when there is a Black American in an IR relationship, I wouldn't be so quick as some are to assume that they have some kind of issue.
