I assume a woman can only listen to so many Beyoncé songs and watch so many Tyier Perry movies before she finds the inner strength to avoid these situations. A good amount of women, especially straight out of high school, will eventually run into a man that can/will mentally manipulate them. Yeah, some women might use it for a cop out, but narcissistic abusive relationships are a thing. It's a huge part of why physical/sexual abuse doesn't get initially reported.
