5. Redman

Rap isn't just about being gangster or being tough... Charisma is a huge part of it. Being witty, creative, and having a sense of humor.... All can enhance a song.... Add personality to an album.. and familiarity to an artist. . And no rapper imo embodies that more than Redman. The creative flow, witty lyrics, and ability to make you laugh out loud .. Redman effortlessly entertains... And still has the lyrics to body damn near everybody he does a track with

4. Beans

Y'all knew this was coming. From the second Beans came out it sounded like he was always supposed to be here. The broad street bully always brings that energy. The punchlines always hit. Beans that dude that we all know and love. Half the time it don't even sound like he rapping... He just talking to us... It just happens to rhyme.
And it's always on point

3. X

96 we lost pac
97 we lost big
98 we got x....

And we needed it so bad. Dude breathed so much life back in the game. Such a unique personality m 2 number one albums in the same year.. Vulnerability. Viciousness. Dude was barking and praying on the same album. Dude was pure energy. One of a kind. Almost too real for the game. Y'all talk about Kendrick making a diss song a number one hot? DMX biggest song of his career had white people clowning Kurrupt for years and they dont even know who Kurrupt is

Your own man said you stupid, you be like

" So, I love my baby mother, I'll never let her go"
🤣🤣🤣

2. Jay

Projects to billionaire in one generation...and he gave us the blueprint along the way. Jay is the soundtrack for the black experience. Versatility is an understatement. He made it a mission to collaborate with everybody. Not even limited to just rap alone. Trends became trends bcuz Jay said so. Boycotting the Grammys before it was cool. Instead of just being a fan, he got involved in the sports game. Investing in teams. Sports agency. Fashion. Buying art work. Marrying the top chick in the game. His business acumen is unfuckable with..... And he can rap. And he can rap. At least 4 classic albums.... Some could argue more. 30 year career. He could drop an album today and it's a must listen to.... And I promise you it ain't gonna be no bull.

1. Big

I don't care if it was only 2 albums. They were both perfection.. The greatest flow, word play, story telling. Big was everything. The biggest robbery of the trap game is niggas taking big after 2 albums. Imagine hearing a 30 year old big. He was still getting better.... Imagine the 4th or 5th album. Imagine big during the neo soul era. Imagine him doing songs with DMX .... Imagine if him and em did a real song together. Big had such a big impact in such a little time.... But definitely the greatest imo..... We lost such a treasure. March 9th is the memorial Day for all hip hop heads
