I'm in season 3, this smoke thing been around for 3 seasons and just killed the African dude, why hasn't anything been explained about that thing.

Desmond all of a sudden can see the future.

The Others been around for 3 seasons and I still don't know what they're about.

The smoke gets explained I think next season

He can't see the future per se but more like premonitions

The others story line is really good. They have practically an entire season dedicated to them or most of a season since these were like 20 plus episodes
