Even though they should I'd still be shocked if he gets traded this season...I think the front office genuinely wants to give it one more year of the Ja/JJJ era with reshuffling the deck around them and hoping Ja is healthier but they aren't aloof about it either, like they know if it doesn't work this season it's over and they tear it down next summer or maybe even at the deadline if it really goes off the rails

Aye I'm just going off what the front office has been saying and signaling lol

Me and you wouldn't hesitate to move Ja and be proactivd but they have a lot invested him beyond basketball...I don't necessarily knock them wanting one last ride

My approval for this front office has slipped over the past couple of years but overall I still think they're pretty good and trust them to figure things out

To be honest with you I have no idea what’s going on with the grizzlies anymore

Is this still considered a top west team?

There’s too many questions

Idk the direction anymore

Take away their top 2 players and the young players on their roster idk if anybody can feel GOOD for the future outside of pippen

I don’t include wells in that because I don’t think his ceiling is high

GG is such a mystery and who knows if Edey will be playable long term

I guess it depends on what you believe from last year....they started the season off really good and then had a nasty slide which led to them firing their coach and getting humiliated in the first round.....if completely healthy I think they're a middling west conference team, not good enough to compete for a championship but I think they're not a legit playin team either, like they could be 5th or 6th


But I think based on Sunday they do have a direction pending additional moves.....

Give it one more try after adding some new pieces around Ja and JJJ and if it doesn't work do a full tear down

The Orlando trade kind of set them up for either

No doubt as of today they're a less talented team than they were last year.....but got additional draft capital they can use in a future trade for different 3rd guy instead of Bane....or they already have a head start on the rebuild
