His loyalty to the only team and city he’s ever known.

Hey question why does Giannis playing for one team even through years they aren’t going anywhere after they traded the guys he won a championship with, traded for Kuzma, and the other star player who’s in his mid 30s is out for an entire year make you feel good?

“Giannis not competing for a championship and wasting his prime makes me feel good as a fan because he’s staying on the bucks”

Sounds silly right?

You’d have to ask him that brother. But if I had to guess I’d say that he’s loyal. That’s the only thing I can think of

I said why does this make YOU feel good?
I like that he is staying with Milwaukee because it isn't many players these days that stay with 1 organization for their whole career.

It's rare

I would understand if he wanted to leave to try and win more, but I respect that he is proud to represent that city and team. They need to fire John Horst though. I never liked his moves as a GM and they got lucky winning that championship. He mortgaged that team's future trading all those picks and the picks he did have, he blew them.

I think it's kind of unfair to put all that Horst.....I'm not the biggest fan either to be clear but outside of the Kuzma trade I think he's done an ok job considering the circumstances

Giannis was constantly putting pressure on the front office to something and flirting with leaving through the media

The Jrue Holiday trade worked, directly led to a championship....the Dame trade didn't, it made sense at the time and now looks a disaster

That's kind of how it goes....have to be willing to spend and deplete your assets to win compete for a championship

Didn’t John Horst just get an extension?
yeah, he did.

They better hope he can do the opposite of what he has always done as the GM to get that team straight.

He consistently doubled down on older players and barely paid any attention to bringing in solid young talent on long term deals to help the team be prepared for the future and also give the team more energy. The best deal he did (if he was the guy) was get Portis for cheap after he punched out Mirotic. The Jrue trade got them over the top to get the championship, but the guy is 5 years older than Giannis and had injury issues before getting there. Not to mention all he gave up to get him.

I do like and respect guys being willing to go down with the ship especially if they already won

That's how it should be, Dirk and Bean did it...Timmy was the outlier

It's been delayed for Steph but the Warriors will be a bottomfeeder soon enough

Exactly!

It's cool to see stuff like that and usually the franchises hold them in great regard and look out for them after they are retired. those players names will always be synonymous with that franchise.
