Fragrance thread

These samples came in. The ones I the black boxes came with a purchase .

MONCLER (LE bois Glace) - this is a frag bomb. Sprayed it one time on my wrist and it projects like crazy. Not sure how I feel about the smell. Will try again.

Mind games (mentor) - haven't tried

Acqua di Parma (LUCE di rosa) - this smells like the great outdoors. I like it cause I'm a camper. But Not sure if I'll buy it. It is very relaxing. I have tried a frag like that before.

Bond no 9 (island) - haven't tried

Ysl (myself) - not sure if I like it. May need to try again

Nishane (ege) - haven't tried

Ex Nihilo ( viper green) - haven't tried

I randomly got the new PDM castley for men in the mail yesterday. Sprayed this on paper on its nice fresh scent for summer for a man. Kind reminds me of LV imagination with a little less citrus. Nothing ground breaking, but it is blended real well you can tell it cost a coin. I'll pass this on to my son.

Also got a couple samples from Macy's. Narciso Rodriguez for intense is very soft and feminine. Peach, musk, and powdery notes. She might be added to collection. The other is Carolina Herrera 212 elixir. It's starts off great, but there's patchouli in the base and it's a dirty ass patchouli too. Definite no.

Dove Clean Comfort deodorant smell good that I had to find a cologne that smells like it

Ordered Montblanc Individuel based on my research

Recently tried these.

The Gucci smelled amazing of the first spray but after a few minutes on my skin, it started to smell like baby powder.

The Armani also smelled good on initial spray on my skin but after a few minutes, I couldn't stand the smell.

I think I'm gonna give up on finding anymore summer fragrances. Alot of them miss the mark for me

@loud-ninja you should get your nose on bois imperial by essential parfums and disco by Zernell Gillie. Both are nice summer scents at a decent price point.

@Eyerone you might want to get your nose on disco too. It's right up your alley...

I've got that Gucci somewhere, that and the Black version. Got them both as gifts. They smell nice for an hour or two, but not much after.

And it smells powdery to you, though? I need to smell it, again, because I actually love powdery fragrances. 😅

Are those at any store? I would need to smell it first. I did a search and only found them online

Smells like powder to me. I dont like powder fragrances. They don't smell bad but it is such a plain smell

@loud-ninja

Have you tried any of these??? They are all easy to find and try and apart from the Chanel, are normally at the discounters:

Dior - Eau Sauvage Parfum
Dior - Eau Sauvage EdT
Chanel - Pour Monsieur EdT
Chanel - Pour Monsieur EdP (different to the EdT, the EdP leans more heavier, the vanlia gives it more spring vibe)
Any of Acqua Di Parma's 'Blu Range' (I like blu mediterraneo)... They are always at discounters too...
Acqua Di Parma - Colonia
Guerlain - Homme EdP
Floris - Neroli Voyage

Couple niche ones:

Les Indemodables - Escale En Haiti
Les Indemodables - Oranger Sirocco

The only one I tried was Colonia. I think it gave me barbershop vibes. It didn't "wow" me.

My brother has Eau Savage edp, so i won't be getting that.

I think I tried blu mediterraneo but can't remember what I thought about it. If I dont remember, it probably didn't impress me.

Yeah 'Colonia' isnt a 'wower' but a solid one for the rotation... I love Eau Sauvage, hate it when some asks me what Im wearing and they think I mean 'Sauvage' 'the Johnny Depp one'...

Its worth sampling out the list... ADP's Blu range has got some solid summer fragrances... 'Pour Monsieur' is a great fragrance, worth checking out the EdT and EdP... Guerlain has nice mojito vibe going on too...

After thoroughly analyzing Eternal Perfume Oils, I can confidently say they offer some of the best perfume oils on the market! Their collection features high-quality, long-lasting fragrance oils inspired by luxury designer scents, but at a fraction of the price. What stands out is their impressive variety, including dupes of popular perfumes like Creed Aventus, Tom Ford, and Chanel, making luxury fragrances accessible to everyone. The oils are highly concentrated, ensuring all-day wear without the alcohol-heavy base of traditional perfumes. Plus, they’re versatile—perfect for personal use, layering, or even adding to lotions and diffusers. Customers rave about the spot-on scent accuracy and strong sillage, which is rare for oil-based fragrances. Another big plus? Their affordable pricing and frequent discounts make it easy to build a fragrance collection without breaking the bank. If you’re looking for long-lasting, premium perfume oils with great projection, Eternal Perfume Oils is a top choice. Highly recommend trying their best-sellers like Silver (MFK Baccarat Rouge dupe) or Oud Wood (Tom Ford-inspired)—you won’t be disappointed!

Heads up on a possible bargain buy at the moment, as I've not actually smelt the fragrance yet lol

Though I seen some reviews saying its a pretty good freshie for the summer, so I'm gonna test it at fragrance counter tomorrow before I open my box...

Hopefully Issey has a similar promotion running for you guys in the States, as Amazon and few other stores also have the same offer....

Its 50ml bottle, plus shower gel for £36... Also another bonus, I did some digging and found a discount code that works alongside it too:

Code: perks15

Well I didnt end up sampling Issey's 'Le Sel Dissey' first so it was essentially a blind buy but thankfully turned out to be a decent freshie...

It has a fresh shower gel vibe and dries down with a nice peppery/woody vibe... A little goes along way too, so 50mls should last ages...

For £30 its a great summer cheapy to spray around for errands etc when you dont wanna use your more favoured fragrances...

Ended up getting my nephews one each for Christmas too...

I've never tried any Issey Miyake before. Where's a good entry point in 2025?

'L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme' EdT was a banger back in the day, think they bought it back as a EdP but Ive not tried it...

Wish I knew what Issey I wore in the early 00's, everyone was wearing it... Probably 'L'Eau'??? Or maybe a flanker...

If you can get 'Le Sel d’Issey' gift set for £30 its defo worth a buy... Its a Bisch creation but theres no hardcore akigalawood to it... Its lasted from 6am this morning and still getting whiffs now lol
